Notes - economic plague of thought / Dead 4 (final) / Brothers 4 (final)

Late morning. Carol has been talking about the nation debt crisis looming white whale-like in the short distance and you had the thought, ‘What if there is a run on the banks? And, if there is a run on the banks what does the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation have to back up the private investors’ savings already in the banks?’ These lead to lots of questions that have not consciously bothered your mind until now. Carol doesn’t know the answers and neither do you; this in itself does not bother you nearly as much as wondering if anyone can answer these questions satisfactorily. – Amorella

1122 hours. It is an economic plague of thought that hits home. One could write a novel, but then a novel was done with The Crash of ’79 by Paul Emil Erdman.

The Crash of '79

The Crash of '79 is a book so real that its plot reads like today's headlines. The central figure is that world traveler, playboy, despot, and winter-sports enthusiast His Imperial Majesty the Shah of Iran, whose grandiose and megalomaniacal dreams, nurtured in secret and financed by oil money, engulf the lives of Erdman's characters, each of whom, unknowingly, is contributing to the event that will bring about the Crash of '79 and the demise of the industrial West.

Bill Hitchcock, the hero, is a successful banker, divorced skirt-chaser, confirmed cynic and financial genius. It is Hitchcock whom the Saudi Arabians pick to manage their vast hoard of accumulated oil profits and to fire a warning shot across the bows of the Western financial community. And no sooner has Hitchcock sat down at his desk in Riyadh than he learns just how precariously balanced the Western world's financial system really is.

Before long Hitchcock is wheeling and dealing at the highest levels of government, while pursuing Ursula Hartmann, beautiful Swiss daughter of one of the world's most distinguished nuclear scientists. Through her he becomes aware that the Saudi's, for all their oil and money, have a problem of their own - the Shah or Iran's ambition to control the entire Middle East and its precious oil...(less)

Paul Emil Erdman (May 19, 1932 - April 23, 2007 in Sonoma County, California. was one of the leading business and financial writers in the United States who became known for writing novels based on monetary trends and historical facts concerning complex matters of international finance.
Early life
Erdman was born in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, on 19 May 1932 to American parents. He graduated from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. He received his PhD from the University of Basel. In 1958 he worked as a financial analyst for the European Coal and Steel Community. Between 1959 and 1961, he worked as an economist at the Stanford Research Institute at Menlo Park.
Banking career
Erdman returned to Switzerland where in 1965, he founded and was the president of a Swiss bank - the Salik Bank. In 1969, the United California Bank in California bought a majority stake and renamed it the United California Bank in Basel. The bank collapsed after taking large losses speculating in the cocoa market. Erdman and other board members were accused of fraud and Erdman spent time in jail awaiting trial. Several officers of his bank were convicted and served prison terms, much to the surprise of American readers, who were unaccustomed to seeing corporate executives jailed for the activities of their companies. In television interviews, Erdman has observed that Swiss prisons had better food (he could have meals sent in by hotels and restaurants of his choice) but Swiss laws did apply to the "privileged classes" as well as to ordinary mortals. The whole episode has been well documented in Chapter 4: How My Swiss Bank Blew $40 Million and Went Broke of the book Supermoney by George Goodman written under his pseudonym Adam Smith.

1139 hours. Obviously, today’s situation is not similar other than circumstances get in the way of normal human behavior when it comes to money. Something we have witnessed in New York as well as in politics in the last two decades. I’m done. I have nothing else to say on the subject. I wish it had not been brought up in the first place, but it was.

No need to dwell on it, boy, once it is outside your head. Later, dude. Post. – Amorella

You are pleased you signaling car stopper actually works as the directions said it would, and you still have about a foot and a half leeway before tapping the wall. Errands are to be run and then lunch. after which you may have some work and reading time in the park or cemetery. Meanwhile, you are working on Dead 4. - Amorella

1324 hours. Dead 4 is complete.

Sophia stepped off the stage and floated feather-lite onto Merlyn's private sanctuary wearing a linen Doric chiton, a violet linen cloth draped over her left shoulder dropping in folds around the blouse and over the hips to the ankles. Merlyn smiled, thinking how the style in the twenty-first century might be considered a beautiful woman in a delightfully intimately woven dress with a long shawl, suggestively set to crawl into bed with her best friend.
Merlyn reached out younger handed than the moment before, clasped her right hand with both of his and said, “I am honored my friend, you are always a welcome sight my Sophia.”
“I understand our Mother was recently here,” commented Sophia in a voice melodically soft and honest. “What a beautiful meadow you commend yourself to be, Merlyn.”
“This place is where I may touch the living,” responded Merlyn. “I think the Dead who are fit, find this an irresistible challenge.” He paused, “Mother Glevema stopped by asking for you.” Merlyn continued with a confident smile and pointed to the northeast. “On the other side of the cemetery mountain one can touch the present Living.”
“Can you show me beyond that granite rock one day, Merlyn?” To be alive again, the wonderment raced from Sophia's heartansoul into her mind alone.
Calmly, Merlyn suggested, “We have forgotten much of what Life is in the moment. I see and feel through Richard Greystone, a spirit already partially ensnared with his identical twin Robert's spirit. One day you may walk with me among the living.” Merlyn watched Sophia's features dissolve.
Heart's memory cocked the trigger, the soul rose as the sun itself, the mind formed the billiard table and Merlyn saw the solids and stripes scattered about slate's green field beyond the cue mark. Refocusing, Merlyn noted a purple stripe, the 12 ball rested on the cue mark. Sophia clothing was violet dyed linen he thought then surmised, she is the uncued 12 ball.
The 12 ball disappeared from the mark, from three dimensions in his mind to a shade. I have only seen this once before, thought Merlyn the Bard, in ancient Elysium. Panagiotakis, the shaman who had said, “We are from there, to here,” was below me.
We were on this side of the Styx where no earthly tremors exist. The Prophet, Ezekiel, was alongside Takis and two others. I was sitting cross-legged high in the tree behind the shamans lying on the shoreline. Their souls, each alone, danced in the center of a shaded circle on the riverbank. The shades disappeared to a place below the bank of the Styx.
Takis, Ezekiel and the two others formed four billiard balls in the mind, but I saw them William Blake-like as fiery souls dancing not as full rounded balls on the table. The Rebellion of the First Ten Thousand Greek Dead had begun not soon before. This action of human will beyond the Grave rose among the twelve major cultures of the World of the Dead in those early days.
No human spirit was full-minded, nor could sheorhe be a common letter in any alphabet spoken or signed. Each spirit scooted about no better than the common letter 'i' until it eventually rose to a capital height.
Then a question rose to the left side of the capital 'I' and a period rose on its right. Length and width had risen straight up adding an undiscovered dimension to the Dead, a third dimension, height, which had only been experienced while living and framed by time and distance from There to Here.
Merlyn returned to his rock, his thinking throne to a cocoon of wonder. No chance to be a butterfly. In Earth’s today though, since the Second Rebellion of the Dead, we still have perspective, a sun in the sky and earth below. Collectively within the spirit, the heartansoulanmind, we continue to have a place of solitude, a suit to wear to disguise our nakedness, a clothing, opened to visitors of our free choice. Many of the Dead huddle together in a patchwork quilt, afraid of strangers, or worse, afraid of themselves. No one with any sense of deadanliving can return to the living experience in any manner but memory. Presently no one but me can learn what it is to be a deadanliving bridge between the spirit-an-physics in higher consciousness.

Later in the afternoon. You are facing west in the center of Rose Hill Cemetery after running errands and taking your walks at Pine Hill Lakes Park. Let’s go to Brothers 4 as Carol continues with her short nap. – Amorella

1643 hours. I forgot to put Pouch 3 in appropriate documents. I also realize I have not come up with a Chapter 4 ‘word’.

How about crème de la crème’? – Amorella

I know the word generally but I will have to review it for chapter context: “best of the best”. I assume Merlyn is considered the best of the best as far as context is concerned among the Dead. However, as these are his dreams, it sounds rather conceited does it not?

I chose the words orndorff not Merlyn, and not you either. – Amorella

1655 hours. You have a point. Carol is on page 8 of Stuart Woods’ Bel-Air Dead, a Stone Barrington novel according to Wikipedia Offline. – I’ll set up the chapter as you wish (since I would and do not know any better anyway).

You are home and stopped working on Brothers 4 with two more paragraphs to clean up. – Amorella

1814 hours. Time for a break. We had lunch at Panera/Chipotle’s so tonight, who knows, we might have scrambled eggs or cereal for supper. Maybe we’ll watch one of last night’s shows before the news.

Later, old man. Post. - Amorella

You had a makeshift supper of a cup of turkey soup and half a peanut butter sandwich on wheat bread while watching the news on NBC and ABC after watching the DVRed version of the first season show of “Blue Bloods”. Carol is watching “Dancing with the Stars” and you want to complete Brothers 4 then call it a night. – Amorella

2053 hours. The Brothers 4 draft is completed.

You are not fully confident of this or any other draft for that matter, but this is acceptable at the moment. Drop in and post. - Amorella

Richard awoke to hear their daughter Julie chattering from downstairs in the kitchen. Julie and Jenni are here with their kids, Ronda Ann and David. No doubt Rob will be popping in wondering why I am not up.
In a tone of melodiously forced politeness, Cyndi shouted, “Are you up, Richard? Ronda wants to bring David to get you up.”
Richard rolled over feigning sleep, something easily done. Noisy feet on the steps gave way to the door slightly creaked from the bottom hinge he had promised to lubricate a month ago. What a day and I’m not even up yet, he surmised with a smile. I hear my favorite four and two year olds on the steps. Do I feign a deep sleep or rise up from the sheet with a lion's 'I-m-going-to-get-you' roar?
***
Later, after a family meal of a two steaks and potatoes, four chicken salads and two kids' macaroni and cheese lunches, at a nearby restaurant of choice, Robert and Richard returned to sit in the living room, each in a high back chair, with Julie on the left side of the living room couch followed by four year old Ronda Ann and two year old David and his mother Jennifer, Robert and Connie’s daughter. Robert mentioned on how good the kids were at lunch when David scooted off and under the gray marble topped coffee table looking for his blue Thomas the train engine. Ronda remarked, “I'm going to the kitchen to see Grandma,” and left a little annoyed she had been forced to sit properly in the first place. Julie being older spoke first, “Thank you for lunch, Uncle Richard. We always have a good time coming over.”
“We have a good time,” mimicked Jennifer. “Dad, you and Uncle Rob going to babysit while we girls go shopping?”
In a quiet demeanor like her mother’s Julie quickly added, “We are so glad you are retired and can take care of the kids once in a while. We appreciate it.”
Looking directly at Richard, Cyndi commented, “We could not imagine living so far away, like your parents Jennifer.”
In the bond of family togetherness, Jennifer remarked, “It is good what with my Calvin out of town at a conference, and Julie’s Allen working six days a week.” She then smiled graciously while commenting, “I am not complaining at least the kids' fathers both have jobs.”
“We've been there,” said Rob and Rich almost simultaneously. The four grandparents laughed light heartedly and began chatting about how each set of grandparents was in the process of redecorating one room or another.
Rob and Rich could both hear the strain of 'we-wish-we-had-the-time-and-energy-to-think-on-such-things' in their voices. The twin grandfathers thought back on how it was with each of their children, who were affectionately called ‘rug rats’ in the late seventies. Life and the business that ensues in one's thirties, forties, and into the fifties -- work, home, errands, chores and parenting; more parenting, errands, chores, home and work, all crammed in and on life's familiar rotating stages of such philosophical and practical goals of ‘We do whatever works best for the family first. Everything else is second’.
Both brothers concluded their silent high back chair conversation in the general theme of 'the fifties were a much better time for growing up than today'. Fortunately, all sets of grandparents had some money saved and invested. The grandparents all, owned their homes and cars and had no debts. Every generation, from time to time, helped their children and grandchildren survive better.
The great-grandparents grew up in the thirties. Hard economic times and then there was a great world war to resolve. The parents of the grandparents Rob and Connie and Richard and Cyndi grew older through the administrations of FDR, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Carter, Reagan, Bush and Clinton none had lived passed the tenure of George W. Not a one, as young children, would have dreamed a Negro would have become President of the United States shortly after their demise.
The events in the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries have subtly and not so subtly changed the social and cultural dynamics of people in every country of the world. Families of sorts resided in the thousands upon thousands of the ancestors and will reside in descendants of the brothers Robert Greystone, his spouse, Connie Bleacher and Richard Greystone and his spouse Cyndi Bleacher. Who, like the rest of humanity he feels, share a common genetic link. We are all fifty-second cousins, or so thinks Richard as he reflects on his personal and universal family in the species, Homo sapiens as he falls asleep that evening after an exhausting and fun day with family.

Notes - loose mindedness / to unravel

Very late morning. Carol is sitting on the floor with the east side of the bed as her chair back reading her Brad Thor book and Jadah the Cat is curled on a folded towel on a folded bedspread on a box in front of the bedroom window; you are sitting in the Lazy Boy styled black leather chair with a blue and white blanket on top and wrapped up below your legs to the back of your knees; your old red sweatshirt is on top of your short sleeved shirt where Jadah was sleeping earlier. You had a nap along with continued arthritic pain in hands, lower back, knees and ankles anticipating a weather change by morning. It has been raining off and on both yesterday and today – supposedly Mason will have had three to four inches total. You have had a weather dreary weekend indeed. Carol wants to take a Honda car ride with the seat warmers on. In another couple of days the window treatment will be cured and the rain will have let up. You are hoping that it will work out to see Dave and Marsha as well as Kim, Paul and the boys towards the end of the week. - Amorella

1204 hours. The sky is ivory colored, the yellowing aged leaves are departing the trees in small but noticeable numbers, and a cold front is coming in tonight. It has been unseasonably humid, 70 percent when I last checked. So much so that I had to turn the basement dehumidify back on. It certainly has helped our grass growing efforts however.

People say timing is everything, and it appears to be, yet time itself from our point of view is mostly pre-existence, existence, probable/post existence. To the Dead it may appear as existence with the pre-existence and post existence determined only on the arrival date. Certainly, ironically, from the Dead’s point of view that would be the measurement, not a clock of sort, just souls with heartsanminds in them.

You have a loose mind in heartansoul, boy. Post. - Amorella

You had a Sunday dinner at Cracker Barrel then spent a couple of hours driving around trying to find a garage radar to put on the back wall that would signal when the front bumper of the car was a foot away. Eventually you found one at Home Depot. After watching the news you took the time to install it then you ‘wired’ the radar detector so that it appears unobtrusively on the driver’s side of the dash. Carol is watching one of her DVRed programs and you are ready to relax with an apple for a late supper. – Amorella

2052 hours. It is a red delicious, one of my favorites. I feel good now that the car and garage are ready for full use. It rained most of the afternoon so running errands was okay. Carol had her book along and let me do the walking about four different stores before I found what I was looking for. The car is clean and ready to be driven. The tinting is crisp and clear, just as they said it would be. Carol called Linda today and found they bought a new car last week too, a blue Chrysler Town and Country. Their Dodge van was ten years old like ours. Hmmm. This apple is slightly tart, good and juicy but not what I expected. I need to unwind and prepare for the week.

If Carol had heard that ‘unwind’ thought she would be laughing through Christmas. – Amorella

Good thing I only thought it.

Post, boy, before you unravel. - Amorella

Notes - what is the metaphysics / The Flea / the day's done

Mid-morning. You have been up, breakfast and the paper, and doing chores while thinking about a new radar detector to go with the new car. The other one is eight years old and you are sure there are updates on the technology. You are also thinking about Rich G. whose friend and colleague from the old Cincinnati Microwave died yesterday. You said, “I am sorry for your loss,” and while it is proper and adequate a statement as any in this context the words seem trite. – Amorella

0951 hours.  It is the same with an “I’m sorry.” Such word choices are ‘all levelers’ and outside of a physical touch do not provide a sense of personal meaning. I do not express ‘levels’ well. It is a terrible thing when language is inadequate.

You wonder if it is arrogant to feel that words can do better than they do and at the same time you jump to Heinlein’s Stranger In A Strange Land and the Martian word, “Grok”. A slice of the novel focused on just such a problem as well as the lack of translation from one intelligent species to another. – Amorella

I think about the Dead in the story. Words are inadequate, even more so, and there is no sense of physical touch outside of memory. No smells/aromas, no sound, no sight other than dream-like sight, sound, touch, smell and taste exist. How can anyone be naked when another can see right through herorhim? I sometimes tell my muse that I would be as the air, and I think of Caesar’s last dissipating breath, as I’m sure it still is. We breathe the Living and the Dead into our lungs at this moment, do we not?

In context this cannot be well argued. What is a used breath? When is it renewed? What is the physics of sharing air as fish share water? What is the metaphysics? Post. - Amorella

1018 hours. John Donne’s “The Flea” comes to mind. Here it is from the Poetry Foundation dot org. What a wonderously fun poem this is.

The Flea
BY John Donne

Mark but this flea, and mark in this,
How little that which thou deniest me is;
It sucked me first, and now sucks thee,
And in this flea our two bloods mingled be;
Thou know’st that this cannot be said
A sin, nor shame, nor loss of maidenhead,
Yet this enjoys before it woo,
And pampered swells with one blood made of two,
And this, alas, is more than we would do.

Oh stay, three lives in one flea spare,
Where we almost, nay more than married are.
This flea is you and I, and this
Our mariage bed, and marriage temple is;
Though parents grudge, and you, w'are met,
And cloistered in these living walls of jet.
Though use make you apt to kill me,
Let not to that, self-murder added be,
And sacrilege, three sins in killing three.

Cruel and sudden, hast thou since
Purpled thy nail, in blood of innocence?
Wherein could this flea guilty be,
Except in that drop which it sucked from thee?
Yet thou triumph’st, and say'st that thou
Find’st not thy self, nor me the weaker now;
’Tis true; then learn how false, fears be:
Just so much honor, when thou yield’st to me,
Will waste, as this flea’s death took life from thee.

You had lunch at Smashburgers and are stopped at Kroger’s on Tylersville. Earlier you spent time researching radar detectors and were thinking of going wireless with the Escort Solo 3. What’s holding you back, boy? – Amorella

1347 hours. Wire or batteries? Then, there is the price. I don’t want Carol’s dash to look cluttered. I’ll have to see how it is with the one we have plugged in. I like the straight wire rather than the landline curl. I don’t suppose we need one since the speed limit is up to 70 on the Interstate. Seventy-six/seventy-seven is my usual average speed on rural Interstates. We have gotten so used to having one though since the old days at Cincinnati Microwave. It is fun shopping for stuff that is not a necessity – less pressure and more time for debate.

In these books that’s one of the beauties of being physically Dead. – Amorella

I like that, Amorella. I guess that would be a beauty in its own way, especially if you had friends and family around.

The Dead branch out, boy. There is nothing wrong with friends and family but having more friends and acquaintances doesn’t hurt either. Souls learn from hearts and minds. – Amorella

         1409 hours. What’s the curriculum?

How the basic human condition alters immortality. – Amorella

Mid-afternoon. You are at Barnes and Noble after filling up the Honda and stopping at Best Buy for a new radar detector. You wanted one with a straight cord and your practical side took over after looking at the four and five hundred dollar Escort models. A Cobra sat on the bottom shelve for sixty-three dollars and after noting it only has once less band than the more expensive models you choose one. Once at the register the clerk said that it was wrongly labeled and should have been ninety-nine. His manager said to sell it at the mislabeled price and you were feeling even better. – Amorella

1541 hours. I am. I am happy my practical side (or gut feeling) was en vogue at the time. Before we left I checked my older model Cobra detector in the new car and found I could rig it up so the wire barely shows so it will not be a distraction. Now all I need is the accessory nonslip pad I saw at the Mr. Clean Car Wash to protect the dash and something to keep the wire taut below the chrome trim lead around and up to the top of the dash. This is part of the fun of a new vehicle. I think I bought the old Cobras new in 2005 when we bought the green Accord. Time to work on Dead 4.

Alta’s southwest turkey soup for supper. You watched DVRed shows and spent time working on the clean, subtle wiring design for the dash for the radar detector. Time for bed, boy. Post. - Amorella

Notes - surviving in the world / 'love' misused /

Shortly after noon. You and Carol had your walk in the park the over to McD’s by King’s Island for a couple Cokes and two chocolate chip cookies. Home to change cars because you are not supposed to put the windows down in the Avalon for a week or two so the tinting can ‘bake’ in. Last night you talked to Craig and Alta about their upcoming trip to your house, now on the twenty-first of the month. You are excited to see them. This morning upon awakening you had a thought on all those naked people and wondered if it was a flash of memory from seeing those terrible photographs from the Concentration Camps your father had put in hiding but that you found when you were in the fifth or sixth grade. You will never forget the shock of seeing those piles of you did not know what until a second time when you rumbled through them and realized these were piles of naked dead people and naked people standing in lines unknowingly for fatal showers. You feel that these could have been mixed up in memory and for some reason the crowd at the ball park triggered those films of the Nazi political rallies and your mind and imagination put them together unconsciously and the ‘memory flash’ became as a reality within an imaginary nightmare to unsettling to comprehend at a Cincinnati Reds baseball game along the river. – Amorella

1247 hours. I did have those thoughts this morning but I put them out of mind. What you have written above seems more plausible than some sort of short circuit wiring in the brain. I guess I am very loose minded and not as forgetful unconsciously as I am consciously. It could be. I know the nakedness was not real exactly, even though it appeared to be real. Lots of things appear to be real in my head that are not, but these quirks lend themselves to writing stories in any case.

They do. No harm in that as far as I can see, orndorff. You have the Honda to clean up. More later, Post. – Amorella

Talking to you makes the world a more comfortable place to survive in, Amorella. I deeply appreciate you.

More than words, boy. No need to even ‘think’ it. - Amorella

You and Carol have been cleaning up the garage as well as the Honda inside. She just washed the rubber mats and cleaned the carpet underneath as well as the trunk. You also checked the new trunk with some luggage and it looks like it will all fit. You also checked with Joseph Toyota to make sure your pre-collision system is ON, which it is. Eventually, you’ll go out for lunch.

1428 hours. We love our 05 Honda too. I am going to get the car to an inside/outside cleaning and detailing and then the paint touched up. Keep it looking more and more like a classic, which as it gets older, will be.

What you mean to say is that you appreciate the engineering, comfort and utility of both automobiles. – Amorella

1434 hours. I overused the word ‘love’ here correct?

No, boy. You misused it. – Amorella

         We don’t have enough words.

The words you have aren’t used respectfully. At least ‘fuck’ is used for what it means. You got that, young man? – Amorella

I do. Appreciate is better, at least in context. I remember the Greek word for love has three different words for context. English does not.

Why do you think that is, boy? The language is full of descriptive detail words for ‘things’ yet love is what it is. – Amorella

I don’t know, Amorella. Sometimes I find the problem exasperating.

         Post. - Amorella

Notes - a Cincinnati baseball game with Gary /

Yesterday was spent having the extra work on the inside and outside the car at Joseph Toyota on Colerain (northwest Cincinnati) and about dusk you picked up the car at Eclipse Window Tinting on Route 42 below Reading. This morning you took the 2013 Camry loaner back to Joseph. Carol had her Blue Ash luncheon; she had a salad, you had half a peanut butter with raisins on a slice of wheat and a strawberry yogurt lite. Lunch yesterday was better as it was lasagna, salad and splitting a tiramisu for dessert at Olive Garden. The two dollar coupon helped but not much.

1627 hours. We were tired last night. Now, here we are at Kroger’s on Tylersville picking up Irish Spring bath soap, milk and bananas – and no doubt more, as Carol is not out yet. At least the rain has gone. It poured this morning. I’ll have to check the rain gauge in the flower garden. Women wear those short, loose boxer shorts into Kroger’s. One would think I wouldn’t notice such things but sometimes I do. It doesn’t take too much imagination; and I never have to use too much.

This is because there was a time some years ago, the last time you went to a Reds baseball game; it was with Gary Popplewell and someone well known hit a home run out of the new ball park; it looked like it went right in the Ohio River. – Amorella

Yes. I remember. I haven’t been to a ball game since. It is the only time I was in the new stadium; it was maybe a year old. I don’t remember whom the Reds were playing; it may have been Los Angeles. [I wrote about this in my notes some time ago.]

You were walking into the stadium with Gary and you had these unannounced flashes from time to time during the game where you saw people without any clothes on. – Amorella

1700 hours. We are home. That was so weird. I told Gary about it at the time. He smiled and made some comment about me needing more sex than I was getting; typical Gary. We laughed but it happened off and on (no pun intended) throughout the game and after; maybe ten to fifteen times. It was like a second each time, like a flash bulb had gone off. It was not the least bit erotic no matter what Gary suggested. I haven’t had that happen since. The event appeared real to me. I remember thinking that I wish I could have gone up to someone; a guy, and saying, ‘you aren’t circumcised are you?’ to see if I was right or not. These people were naked but their bodies were distorted slightly by where their clothes were. This may sound silly but I remember because the guy who wasn’t circumcised in the ‘flash’ had his penis in a somewhat pinched position and I had to take a second glance to tell for sure.  Again, the women were in a natural state and after a few minutes of thinking about it I just let it go. I ‘know’ in my head as I did then that it probably wasn’t real but why the nakedness appeared to take place and after it taught me a personal lesson in that it doesn’t make much difference whether people are naked or not. The body, the skin in particular, is still an outer dressing. This thought rambled on because I glanced at the nice looking forty-something with those loose black shorts on. (1714)

[A possible explanation for the above event on 4 October 2013 post.]

Carol suggested Papa John’s for tonight and asked if you would rather have scrambled eggs instead. – Amorella

I would choose Mason’s Papa John’s pizza over eggs every time, or at least most every time.  The manager, Homer, and I are FB friends now. He is a nice fellow. We love our pizzas.

We can use the ‘nakedness’ episode in being Dead. Perhaps in chapter four. – Amorella

I’ll never remember this. Wait. This is where we are. You know the observations weren’t real. It goes back to that faulty wiring somewhere in my head. Some people have seizers others have flashes of naked people. That’s how I see it and that is how I live with it.

Notes - quantum mechanics meets transcendentalism / Pouch 3 completed /

1012 hours. I am thinking about the conditions that would lead Quinta to be a ghost all these thousands of years. How could that be as a conditional within the Dead in these books?

First, we have your setting, boy. You are sitting in the morning shade facing southwest into the trees along Muddy Creek at the far north lot of Pine Hill Lakes Park. Carol is on page 53 of Thor’s book, Black List. This is after your earlier morning walk.

Quinta decided to become orange, one with the leaf and the sun. When she died she could not bear to leave who she was in her heartansoulanmind. So, she didn’t. One day she will wake up and realize in heartansoulanmind that she was always more than the color orange deep, deep down. She just has to dig deeper than her present contentment. This is not so easy for some people. True, she is in her sanctuary, her memory, her color and she carries a representative of the leaf and she sees the representative of the sun in the sky above her sanctuary. Her friends and family can only guess why she has never come out but they know she is safe where she is. (Does this sound like a familiar refrain?) In here, some things are not much different than among the living walking the cemetery. The ‘spooky’ part is that of the slippery realm of quantum wave function in consciousness/unconsciousness – she is there and here from time to time, usually within a blink of an eye but sometimes she is observed at best, as an illusion among the living who are living around present day Lake Champlain. Ghost exists in here, young man. There is not much difference between some aspects of quantum reality and transcendentalism. Grandma Three is showing this in story form. – Amorella

`         1135 hours. We are home after a stop at Graeter’s for two kid’s cups. The story makes more sense knowing these things but the reader would not.

We can work up notes; actually you already are. – Amorella

I never thought about cleaning up these notes and putting them out there too.

They already are out there boy. Where is your mind? – Amorella

You mean we are going to continue with these notes through the three books?

         Why not?  - Amorella

I don’t know. I hadn’t thought about the notes as something people would read.

They are here for free. No selling of notes. This is a commercial free zone in that sense.
Post while you have the opportunity. - Amorella

Mid-afternoon. You are sitting across Kenwood Road from Tater’s Kenridge Auto Repair with Marx Bagels pretty much directly behind you (slightly to your right while facing east). You had a late lunch with your regular meal a split raisin wheat tuna deluxe and two chocolate chip cookies. You brought your own drinks to save the cash. Carol brought the morning paper for casual reading. You are leaving Grandma  behind for Pouch Three. Let’s go to it. – Amorella

1651 hours. Pouch 3 is completed.

Drop in, then post. – Amorella

Diplomatic Pouch 3 ©2013, rho (final) draft of GMG.One

Pyl, Justin and Blake had a lunch of ham and cheese sandwiches each with a side of chips. Getting up from the table Pyl checked the tree-lined backyard for blown small branches and sticks as it is another pleasant Cleveland day in January.
Justin and Blake moved to the couch and chairs in the nearby Bose media room.  Once settled Justin posed, “How is the company, Blake?”
Once Blake adjusted the smooth jazz playing in the background and sat relaxed, he talked the talk of the CEO of Electronic Communication Software. “You know Dad. He started in a small empty space that had been a small used book store near the college campus. He took classes at Fenn, in the early sixties then transferred to Case-Western. We grew up in the three-story off West Fairmount in the Heights.”
“We drive by every time we come up,” replied Justin. “The screened porch is awesome.”
“Dad had it screened. He reconditioned the old electric fan motors himself. We used it full time in the summer. In the late seventies he thought about building chips for the radar detector business but decided it wasn’t for us.” Both men sat chilling on a long George Benson's guitar piece.
Pyl strolled in from the back yard. “I love that big old sugar maple, look, it’s January and I found this beautiful orange leaf by the bushes.”
In a perfectly cadenced tone Blake added, “I'm thinking about cutting that maple down, Pyl. It's old and the highest tree out back. If we get a terrible wind it could fall on the house.”
Glancing at the rising anger in Pyl’s face, Justin turned up the Walter Beasley sax rendition of "Do You Wanna Dance," thinking on how Blake sets the bait and on how Pyl almost always picks up on it.

Hartolite whispered, “Do you need a little more action, Yermey? She noted his typically quiet smile as his right hand slowly slid into her silky smooth and warm pouch.
Yermey words stumbled, "It's been five years since I've this dressed this far down." Whenever the women have big decisions, he mused, a hot itch comes, and there is not a ThreePlanets man alive who can satisfy it. My right hand rests in dreamland and it is a very real pleasure.
Friendly leaned up from his stomach and giggled, "It's been ten years if it's been a day since we’ve seen you in this position." Hartolite echoed the snicker.
Yermey unslid his hand-in-pouch, abruptly sat up and jumped down from the bed-out-of-the-wall. He grumbled as he pulled out fresh overalls from the nearby dress chute and he lazily dropped his legs into them one at a time, pulled them up and felt the cloth quickly unwrinkled and automatically adjusted to his size. A general distain arose from his mind, 'the women pop us in those pouches when we are tiny crawlers and never let us go. We men grow expecting at any time we see a woman’s seductive glance, to be politely asked to put a hand-in-a-pouch. His old heart murmured, ‘Such is our biology.’ Yermey turned to the bedfromthewall.
In such moments Yermey turned to philosophizing on ancient ThreePlanets children’s tales. He thought, I don’t believe the myths of our clergy and their ancient fableizing hints into untellable truths. Strange, there is such a close connection between our two species’ Concept-of-God and a Fall from Grace. These earthy High-Primates have a similar story. There is more or less to the universe than we imagine.
Friendly fully dressed caught the corner of his eye. She is always upbeat and positive. Hartolite is one good handsomely suited cuddlanbabe. I imagine resting my hand in her pouch almost every night before I go into a deep sleep. We do our life’s series of services-for-the-species, imagining and creating a more comfortable educational and entertaining setting for our community-of-families. We create the safest, most efficient and easily manipulative devices possible for our species’ healthy well-being. We attempt to treat ourselves humanely in our ThreePlanetCommunity; and we will for Earth too, if they can accept such gifts of knowledge free and without obligation.
Meanwhile, Hartolite and Captain Friendly had come to a mutual conclusion. Friendly politely declared to Yermey, “We buy the Williams’ plane tomorrow or leave them two hundred thousand U.S. dollars, and then commandeer it. I want done with this. Then we must create the best, most efficiently way to directly contact this High-Primate species. The shock of us will do them well,” concluded Friendly, but Hartolite’s facial expression made Friendly quickly ask, “Is it ‘do them well’ or ‘do them good?’”

You watched the first episode of “The Mentalist” and the second episode of “Bones” and NBC and CBS News. Tomorrow you are up to take the car to Toyota for protective coatings inside and out because it puts Carol’s mind at ease to have this done. You also are going to stop by Eclipse Tinting on Reading Road to see about having the car windows tinted.

2138 hours. I have everything ready to begin work on Dead 4. Tomorrow will be another ‘car busy’ day. Today we drove the 05 Honda to Blue Ash for lunch. Interesting differences in handling from the Avalon. The Honda is more fun to drive because it is ‘broken in’. I’m glad we still have one as a second car.
