Cemetery Angel

Cemetery angels are interesting and this one in West Virginia caught my eye because of the face. The fellow is staring right at you. I added the fade on the edges to give him a more ghostly appearance. Looks like angel came to Earth and muddied himself a bit. Old stories from around the world talk about such things. I like the stories because any angel story is a human spiritual story in my book.

Sometimes, after we finished Milton’s Paradise Lost and before the Introduction to the Eighteenth Century I would show an example of ‘angels’ being used in modern productions and students would write about it in class. The X-Files had one of the best titled “All Souls” about four girls who were fathered by an angel. I found this quotation online (www.tv.com/the-x-files/all-souls/episode/604) which shows a part of the modern spiritual conflict in our culture whether you watched the show or not.

Scully: I was raised to believe that God has His reasons, however mysterious.

Mulder: He may well have His reasons, but He seems to use a lot of psychotics to carry out His job orders.

I remember agreeing with Mulder in that indeed it does seem true in reading and listening to media reports time to time, but when I think about it, I also agree with Scully as I also was raised to believe that G---D has His reasons.

So, under these circumstances Amorella, how do I explain my thoughts on G---D's reasonings more clearly? Or, can I?

This is Amorella. You are asking me, an imaginary friend in your mind to help you debate a very old question, G---D’s Reasons.

It does looks somewhat negative in this light I suppose. Quite funny actually. What it comes down to is how I can accept two contradictory concepts at the same time?

You forget, that was a key for being able to have me write the books. You accepted, in quantum mechanics, the concept of Schrödinger's  cat – which in a theoretical experiment is half a cat living and half a cat dead. Once your mind could accept contradictions as ‘reality’ I could more freely write the books.

Yes. That is true.

As a human being you have the right to ask any questions you like, but you also have the personal responsibility to think clearly before you ask the questions.

I take my original rather ambiguous question concerning G---D’s reasonings back.
