Up later than usual. Breakfast and the Sunday paper. You are considering a ride down along the river, up to Ripley and return from I-275. Perhaps a Subway picnic along the way, at the small riverside park across the street from President Grant’s birthplace. > So much for the pipe dream. After dark and you are listening to a Brazilian radio station near Rio enjoying the flow of the music and of the language of the disk jockey and his native listeners.
Not a very productive day. Perhaps a ride along the river later in the week or a back road country ride over to Oxford. Both are Fall rituals. We did stop at Graeter’s and took a short circular route through the countryside of northern Warren County. Read the newest Discover and Time magazines and looking forward to CSI-Miami at ten. We have a list of chores and errands for tomorrow. Looking forward to Thursday when we head to Westerville for lunch with my sister Cathy and her husband Tod who are recently returned from a trip to England.
I did find some information this morning that I shared with Doug. The tone of which was reinforced in Discovery. This selection is taken from “Astronomers Worldwide Forge New Rules for ET Engagement” 10/10/10 12:24 PM
“Tarter suggests that life might even be found in non-Earthlike habitable zones, in places where "extremophile" organisms may thrive -- life forms that may actually require hazardous conditions. As we've looked at extremophiles and looked at our own solar system better, we appreciate that," she said. "There might be life under the ice of [Jupiter's moon] Europa, and that could happen in other planetary systems. The nice thing is that we're getting close enough to it being science -- that we can actually go after the details and not just have to tell a story. It's really exciting.
So, does all of this -- SETI, Vatican, UFOs, high-atmosphere microbes -- or any of this signal a coming extraterrestrial disclosure? Maybe I'm just tying a string of alien beads together that are leading nowhere, but I can't help wondering.”
What I find interesting is that this same concept can be used by the Dead in the story. As they get closer to discovering where the other Dead (cultures) are they will become more ever hopeful that they may be successful in this Rebellion of theirs – something that isn’t going to happen in these two books.
Post, orndorff. I will show you how it is going to work when you are mentally up to it. – Amorella.
