Notes - So it goes / Genetics / Sources

Up and about. Mid-morning. You are thinking discouraging thoughts caused by a column you read yesterday on how money for trains promotes socialistic (Marxist) thinking by the masses and how money relating to automobiles promotes independent ‘American’ tendencies. As such, all governors should vote down federal money for trains, i.e. trains are a liberal’s idea to steal your democratic liberty.

The author makes a point. We are not a socialist country and never will be. Cars do promote independence. Who wants to wait on a train schedule when sheorhe can just jump in the car and go at leisure? For the Dead who don’t have cars or trains it makes no difference. As any issue has at least two sides the debate weakens both. This goes on and on in the media because editors have to have something to write about. Where isn’t there a controversy? 2011 is not much different from Orwell’s 1984. More subtle but it is there. Promote two or more sides in any issue; magnify the problems to the point people don’t know what to do, (what are the right decisions to make in such a choice of complications) then nothing gets done. Thus the status quo rides what surface waves there are. Patriotism has its selfish interests – just look whose party one supports. Tell me personal selfish interest doesn’t play a good part in that. I want America (or any other country) to be like I want it to be not what my neighbor wants it to be. I want trains and automobiles not just automobiles, so I support the trains. As Kurt Vonnegut says (in a totally different context) in Slaughter House Five, “so it goes.” Fortunately for the Dead in The Rebellion these things don’t appear to crop up.

Speaking of selfish interest you should point out a truth in the publication of three novels, you made about twelve dollars last year. This is in two checks iUniverse sent you last week.

I think it is funny, that’s about a dollar a month for books that are several years old. They are sold as regular e-books. They are much, much cheaper. I can buy all three novels for less than the price of one bound in paper. I can go to the local library and read them for free. Just glad I didn’t make writing my day job. I don’t know why Amorella brought this up, but I am not in favor  of making money from these books. It doesn’t seem right to make money off of words that are given to me. Besides, like most everything else I don’t need to give a damn about it so I don’t.

The real orndorff shines in the last sentence. A good time to post. – Amorella.

Honesty is not always pretty, Amorella.

Later in the afternoon. You are sitting in the Kroger lot on Tylersville after a late lunch at Penera/Chopotle. I see you are inspecting the Girl Scout cookies on sale while waiting to ‘tune in’ to my words.

I can’t seem to help it. Enjoying most any kind of food is one of my vices. There are worse vices in the world, that’s how I see it, plus eating is legal so I don’t have the hassle of breaking the law.
That reminds me, what happens when you break a ‘rule’ among the Dead? I assume self-solitary confinement for awhile. And there is the ‘embarrassment’ factor where individuals disappear and reappear in their homes. Both of those appear reasonable to me in light of being Dead. Certainly a disappearing act would save a lot of conflict. You can’t swing a fist at someone who isn’t there, so to speak. Is there a way to move from one place to another without walking? Or, should I say, floating as they don’t have legs either.

The Dead have physical features, where else would the sex fit in?

I guess. From someone living though it is not real, it is only a manifestation of the mind, isn’t that right?

No. The Dead in here are twistedanwrapped as you are, orndorff – heartansoulanmind. The ‘body’ of the dead person is at herorhis heart’s command first. The soul still has to have a place in which it resides. The body exists. If one is going to give herorhis heart to someone sheorhe does. The heart would be as a voice on the phone, the mind would be as a phone text. Among friends voice is assumed to be more endearing than the printed word alone.

This appears to be a little deeper set than I imagined. I suppose there is more.

Of course there is more. This is what makes it fun for me to throw in things you do not even think of to become conscious of, at least not at first. The unconscious is not only deeper, it is broader also. Emerson’s collective consciousness hints parallel like directions that I can follow because they are known and can be understood by human beings. When one is communicating the idea is just that, there is no need or reason to add mystery other than a reminder that even for me, a Betweener in your mindanheartansoul, some matters and non-matters are unknown and unknowable (at least in meaning and purpose). The heartansoulanmind evolve just as they evolved together (in the unwritten prequel to the series).

You received a photo from Saturday’s birthday party and it shows most of the cousins who were there as well as Uncle John and Aunt Catherine. You mentioned that you thought everyone has a similar smile and noticed you did too. Imagination immediately projected this back to the shared grandfather with the Hammonds back in the early Middle Ages. Possible, you think that it is an inheritable trait to have this similar smile – then, imagination drifts away and you come to the conclusion that many people have this smile related or not. Forgetting for a moment that your species is all cousins one way or another. Place the photo here, then post. – Amorella.

Waiting for “The Event” to reappear in thirty minutes or so. Carol is on the phone with her sister in Tampa. You are concerned about the photos you have on the blog. You assumed giving credit is enough now you are not so sure, the same for the quotations you have taken from various sources. Here’s what. Wait before going through and taking all the quotes and many of the photos out, particularly those early ones from NASA. Photos from the Hubble telescope and others certainly can fit into your concepts of transcendental existentialism. Tomorrow let’s work on chapter seven before any posting. Relax. You and your friends and family enjoy the evening. – Amorella.
