Notes - Life as it is / Paying the Piper

Up in time for Carol’s from scratch blueberry pancakes and an egg over lightly. Kim took a couple of photos of you writing in the bedroom. Everyone plays with Owen. This is your morning. The real reason for the photos is that you are afraid you will not remember all this and want to keep a reminder of how it was.

I know better. If I don’t remember, I won’t know who the fellow in the hat is either. The photo is a crutch for memory I suppose. It might not do any personal good, but I can’t see any harm in it. Growing older takes a bit of foresight. Might as well tackle it just like anything else. “Be Prepared” is the Boy Scout motto, and it is a pretty good one even if you aren’t/weren’t a Boy Scout.

As it makes no difference to you, drop in the darker photo Kim shot and post.

Kim said the flash didn’t go off. Much like my mind so far today. Not much functioning.

You see no purpose and have no interest at present. Take a break. You are interrupted by the fact that Mary Lou is stuck in Columbus with an hour and a half delay. She will miss her second flight so you have no idea when she will get into Tampa or if she will go to Orlando instead as Sharon is presently at a conference there and will drive over to meet husband Cory and Mea who are flying in from Los Vegas.  – Amorella.

Getting family together is not as easy as it used to be. Life as it is.

Mid-afternoon. A good lunch at the Conch Republic earlier and you are waiting to go to the airport to pick up Cori and Mea at five. Lots of flight delays because of bad weather. Laney sent you a ‘Like’ for your birthday comment to her, and you feel the better for it; enough so to send her a short soul-felt reply.

Muse or not, Laney still drives words from the deep.

These last three books need sturdy, passion-built architectural walls. Walls that exist in this physical world as the settings are mostly in the next or other world. Laney is sturdy enough, but you not so much. Sometimes you are a loose cannon, orndorff, and are not even aware, as the cannon sets in the unconsciousness. Restless rebellion. I guard you against this.

That’s fine with me. I cannot imagine myself a loose cannon as I do little more than a blog and a few books of little interest to the outside world, and I don’t really care to do more. However, from my characters’ points of view, perhaps I am a loose cannon.

You and Paul have returned at the condo and had leftovers for supper after dropping off Corey and Mea. Kim and Paul just left for a walk after putting Owen to sleep. Tomorrow, lunch at the four families’ favorite special restaurant, The Columbia, in Ybor City (Tampa). If Sharon makes it in on time there will be fourteen at the table including the two high-chair people.

Later. Your rebellion is not built for this world, boy. It is not conscious and will not be made so.

I would like to see the beginning of this.

I would like to see the beginning of all this, myself. How’s that? Let’s put this newly replaced passionate energy of yours to some wordy purpose. Once we finish with this scene we will begin another and put a bit of romance into it. Post. – Amorella.

Why is my passion being drawn out? I did not ask for this.

These passions, boy, are from the deep, soul-deep; and your heart would wish to deny them wordy substance. Now post. It will not let go until you write it out. You pay the piper just like everyone else. No exceptions.  - Amorella.
