Notes - Work on scene 9, ch. 7. / a word from Tiresias /

Mid-afternoon, and you are at Linda and Bill’s – a good take out lunch earlier – VT pressed cubans to go. Linda and Carol are talking politics (pro moderate to left leaning) and it is too difficult to work. Later, dude. -  Amorella.
Carol is reading the paper and Linda is playing a computer word game. Library quiet presently. First, go back to your description of Tiresias entering your mind.
That was on 30 May. That seems to have occurred a month or so not a week. Why is that?

The mind does not view time as if it were a physical unit (a clock). In terms of where your mind has been since that ‘happening’ days are not relevant. Once reread it is as in the present; that is if you are really ‘into’ the re-reading. Place the copy here for a reworking.

You are wondering how to introduce Tiresias. It might be best to let him introduce himself.

Whoa! I just heard a distant far off rumbling in my head, a muffled earthquake of sound from a tunneled cave-like inside distance. How can I discern a distance from the front top of the Frontal Lobe sloping down across the lower fifth of the Parietal Lobe down through the far inside of the Temporal Lobe (from the third ventricle through the cerebral aqueduct into the fourth ventricle to brain stem at the top of my spinal column. (I jumped into Gray’s Anatomy brain images online. I have the well-used book at home but the above are my first impressions of this ‘hallucinatory-like’  event.)

Use Georgia 12 font here.

The snap of twig. Tiresias glanced down the rocky cliff to his left, he hadn’t taken but a step forward when he detected a sudden slight shift of cool wind coming from a rugged but nearly vertical crevice two arms lengths long and one arm length wide. The Styx rolled on another fifteen feet below the crevice. Unlike the river the cave smelled freshly created. A rush of air hissed out of the hole. He stopped, turned, and carefully climbed down five feet from the path. Curious, Tiresias stuck his face inside as a thought occurred that he was being re-birthed within an emptiness surrounding cleaned gray granite. He continued sniffing for a whiff of the fresh air that lingered upon his arrival at the rocky scene.

Surely, you (Amorella) put me into an immediate setting. I even thought I heard a voice with a strong resonance from the area of the third ventricle. A one-syllable word with delivery and articulation, the intonation was solid as if the man behind the voice was still within the brainstem or the top of the spinal column, but I didn’t understand the word. My brain couldn’t think fast enough. I kept thinking “this is coming from inside, from the inside of the center of my head.

Intuitively and childlike Tiresias, thinking ‘rejoice’ in ancient Greek, uttered, “Khai-reh,” He waited but no voiced response. Tiresias suddenly sensed the remanet of human soul however . . . the remanet of a living human being.

A good place to stop and take a break, boy. Post. – Amorella.

So, Tiresias originally pronounced a two syllable Greek word, Amorella?

         Such a humor. - Amorella.

You are wanting to add “of a piece of human soul” and ‘piece’ does not fit. How do you put a soul in parts, boy, you tell me? – Amorella.

I don’t know. What is a remanet of a human soul?

Why don’t you ask Tiresias. – Amorella.

“The flitting of a shadow on the mind.”

Use that if you will. – Amorella

“Tiresias suddenly sensed the remanet, a flitting of soul shadow on the mind, a living human soul shadow.”

“That is more correct from my perspective.”

See, there you have it. Tiresias is a character, boy. He isn’t going to bite you. Now, post. – Amorella.
