Who to play the parts of Vivien and Merlyn in the story? Rene Russo in my mind and Clint Eastwood. The parts of Guinevere and Arthur? Jennifer Connelly and George Clooney. Besides, earlier, Bob Pringle was a good part of Merlyn and I was a part of Arthur. Bob was always more mature and realistic. I am still a bumbler of sorts.
Later in the evening. Tomorrow Gilkey comes again to fix the sliding door leak. Carol has breakfast with her friends. Today you had a good time chatting with Rich on a variety of subjects and some shared memories. You have a lot of memories, boy, just like everyone else. You have a tendency to remember mistakes and regrets and you need to remember them more clearly from time to time. You wonder what the Dead in the book do when such memories flash in. Sorrow and humility follow but what about regrets? What can be done? Nothing, boy. Time flows one way because it is your biochemical nature to flow one way.
Everyone makes mistakes in life. This has not come up in the stories. What can the Dead do about mistakes in these books?
You are not thinking clearly, old man. The Rebellion is a major mistake, for the right reason or not. The human Dead are held responsible, but then the marsupial-humanoids are no better. The correction comes with time because that is how it appears to become by both species. Time and space are important because they are points of orientation for both species’ basic survival. No theory there, boy. Merlyn and the other Dead do not need time and space for survival. They need present ‘spiritual’ contact with others of their species and memories for survival. These Merlyn books only deal with necessities. You wish to tell an Angel a story and you tell it only out of necessity. Time and space are only needed in the telling, in the grammar, spiritually or otherwise. Post. - Amorella
