Mid-morning. You are sitting back in the black Lazy Boy styled black chair in the bedroom looking out at the tops of not yet budding naked trees and a the crisp blue sky beyond. Yet you have no thoughts. – Amorella
Nothing is going on in my head, Amorella. No dust is unsettled. I am almost ready to do my 30 minutes of so called exercise (it is better than no exercise at all). I just can’t bring myself to get out of the chair already. The wind is picking up. I should to. We do have chores and errands today and tomorrow since we’ll be in Cleveland for the next two weeks. I guess it is a let down from all the visits yesterday. I stopped by Cathy and Tod’s and Cathy said Aunt Patsy and Uncle Ernie were home from daughter Wendy taking them to the grocery. Uncle Ernie had eye surgery this morning so it was good to go.
Funny. When we were there a local woman, JM, six years older than myself stopped by to see them too. I heard a family story I had not heard before. My Grandmother Orndorff almost married this woman’s [JM’s] grandfather – I mean they got to the courthouse steps before calling it off. I never knew that. Of course Aunt Patsy and Uncle Ernie knew all about it. I found out that Grandma always told my father that if she had married this other man Dad would have been a girl as the woman he did marry had seven daughters and no sons. Ha! What complications for one such as me. It is always fun to learn something new at least once a day (and a life making experience joke at that).
So, were you fated to be, orndorff, or just an accident? – Amorella
Well, I understand I was an accident as I was conceived in January 1942 and born six or seven months after Mom and Dad were married. I figure it must have been all that local anxiety and anticipation about Pearl Harbor back on December 7. That’s my take on it. Accident I was. Ha!
Post. – Amorella
Mid-afternoon. You delivered the tax information to Pelfrey in Blue Ash and now you are sitting at the Kenwood Town Centre waiting for your three-forty appointment at the Genius Bar at the Apple Store. You downloaded OS5 for your iPad but when you downloaded and upgraded Carol’s iPad you couldn’t restart it correctly, so you are waiting. – Amorella
At least I had an excuse to take a drive on this beautiful but crisp afternoon. I don’t know why her iPad wouldn’t reload correctly, the only difference from hers to mine is that I upgraded to OS5 while she did not. I’ll find out why in about twenty minutes. Carol is washing clothes, etc. but tomorrow wants to come back here to shop before Cleveland on Sunday. Time to go.
