You are up earlier. Cuddled Jadah the Cat for her pleasure and warmth. She likes cuddling in your sweat shirts rather than Tees. Typical shorthair domestic, you think. Carol is picking up the papers and it looks like a crisp sunny day ahead. Words freeze, as you are not sure I said, “Enjoy the trip north, boy.” – Amorella
Sometimes, Amorella, I do not know if you are speaking or I am speaking to myself. I would not say, “Enjoy the trip north, boy,” but you might not say it either. Rarely do you say such a thing and when you do I always make something ‘darkish’ out of it, such as, “Enjoy the trip north, boy [because the trip back south is going to be a disaster].” The words freeze in my head at that point because I give a childish rebuttal and quickly realize that is what I just did. I am unconsciously being silly and stupid. I need to take a bath and get ready.
1138 hours. Bob Evans is closed for remodeling so we are at a better restaurant nearby, better food and casual decor, that is. The Best Breakfast & Sandwiches at 5916 Westerville Road across from where the old Glengarry Pool used to be, two miles north of Minerva Park where I lived from second through eleventh grades and a mile or so south of old Uptown Westerville. Home territory. Just found out that Fritz M. was here for breakfast and I gave away the fact that we usually meet at Bob Evans for lunch. This small independently owned restaurant was on PBS for having one of the best breakfasts in the United States. Fritz was sitting at the counter during the filming, third seat from the far end. Fritz and I are both creatures of habit.
Mid-afternoon. You worked on further editing and cleaning up this blog for offline reference. Fritz arrived a little after noon and you both left about two. Gas is three-fifty-nine a gallon so you filled up. Presently you are sitting under a large Oak tree about thirty yards west of the west wall of the mausoleum at Otterbein Cemetery. Get a shot from outside the car. Use your MacAir. – Amorella
I did take the photo, two actually, one I am more in the margin where I belong, if I belong at all. Of course the photo is reversed but why did you want me to take it anyway?
I think it would be fun for Owen and Brennan. One day when you are long gone and ‘resting’ at the north end of this cemetery they can stand where the picture was taken and say, “Papa might still be here standing with us.” – Amorella
Ha! That’s funny, Amorella. And the mirror image I’ll be standing on the “other side of the mirror” so to speak so the picture would ‘right’ itself from my perspective.
See, now wasn’t that a fun thought, a fun thing to do? – Amorella
I would have never thought of it.
The boys need to know you had a sense of humor as well as a hope for the best. – Amorella
Thank you, Amorella. This makes today even more special.
In your heartansoulanmind, boy, where it counts most. – Amorella
You are considerate of the newly Living as well as the Dead, you are a good piece of imagination and/or a good spirit, Amorella. This leaves me with very pleasant calm thoughts.
As well it should, boy. Relax and carry on with your task. Your resizing the photos, shrinking the Arial font to a size twelve and cutting the line spacing down, set this up for self publication some day. – Amorella
It is fine; it will be, as is – a media project. Setting the files up for the iPad sparks some interest I otherwise would not have considered – a yearly file of the blog for my grandchildren if they are interested. If not, that’s okay too. No harm done either way. (1507 hours) – rho
You are home and ready for bed after a busy day. Post. - Amorella
