Notes for 13, 14 & 15 June 2012 / the soul & accidental free will could be possible

13 June 12

Mid-morning. The plumber was here to fix the garbage disposal, which it turns out, was an easy fix. Rob W., the painter will begin outside trim work today. You are checking all four of your berets in to be dry cleaned at Tide Dry Cleaners a new place owned by and next to Proctor and Gamble on Mason-Montgomery Road. And, you are thinking of buying two new ones as there is a sale at Village Hats online, the only place you know where you can buy an authentic nineteenth century styled Basque shepherd’ beret.

I am thinking maybe a brown and a gray one for some variety, especially if the ones I have can’t be well cleaned. Berets are a public and private persona, a part of my ‘statement to and of self’’ – mostly imagination of self-image. I always wanted to be a writer. Last night, while fingering online I found Merlyn’s Mind is available on both the nook and kindle at around four dollars, which is quite reasonable and probably what it is worth to process and download. Anyway, it is a fun part of a pretend writer’s coming to life in these modern times. To help that along I requested that Braided Dreams and Running Through also be available in the same formats. Time to be off to Tide and to Walmart for some Mr. Bubble and earphones as Jadah chewed another set in half.

Almost noon and you are saving a table under a shelter at Pine Hill Lakes Park for the family. You are having your berets cleaned for the first time ever, at least professionally. You also bought a new set of earbuds, this time Sony, but still only ten dollars. You are surprised that your really good earbuds still work (after you found them recently) after first being tossed into the washer and afterwards into the dryer.

The still working earbuds were a fluke of luck. [I know in my heart it is “earbuds was a fluke”] but since my heart is not so good for such things I’ll stick with the plural just because it sounds better even silently.

Somewhat of a distraction as there may be as many as thirty children in the common playground (swings, slides and such) area. – Home, relative quiet, and you have sat around shelling and eating peanuts enjoying it. – Amorella

I found the left over peanuts and ate them before they could be thrown out. My diet appears lack some days but not so much that when I weighed myself this morning it was 275.6, six tenths more than a few weeks ago (a pleasant surprise). I have my exercises to do today and I think we are having chicken for supper, either that or left over meatloaf, which is served cold or hot and is just as good the next day as it was the first. I had a half of a turkey and ham and cheese sandwich on the picnic as well as some jalapeño hot peppered kettle chips and a diet drink. I am ready for a nap. I could summarize what I have been thinking about in the five words of the previous sentence. I would like to get back on the various aspects of heartansoulanmind as to be seen in the Merlyn’s Mind series.

What about dimensional levels within the metaphysics, that is, if you consider the living consciously living in the basic four, height, width, depth (space) and the forward flowing appearance of time? – Amorella

Levels of the soul and the heart and the mind?

I prefer regions of the soul, first, and you already appear stuck with vertical and horizontal orientations. – Amorella

Up or down or in or out or some sort of roll to the right or left – those are the simplest and most easily understood dimensional aspects within the physical world. If you are going into some non space-time continuum forget it. Solid, liquid or gas, again, I can hope to comprehend it.

Look for an image of three connected gears. – Amorella

14 July 12

Mid-afternoon. You have decided not to post material as you now think that you are more than “mostly imagination” and have come to the conclusion that you are seven percent real and the rest is at mostly a perception of reality with a stormy mix of imagination throughout. No sunny days of reality and you concede that upon examination you will further conceded to ninety-nine and nine tenths sure that your sense(s) of reality are in the floatable human perception of reality range. The doubts set in the range of the one-tenth but that you have no idea where the one-percent resides in you perceived perception of reality range.

2146 hours. Carol is playing with the cat. I am ready for bed. Picnic again today, Carol and I mowed the lawn this evening. Tomorrow we are up to Lebanon in the morning for a one-hour train ride, then to lunch next to the train station.

15 June 12

Mid-morning and you are up at the LM&M Railroad Station with the tickets for this morning’s one hour ride. It is a beautiful morning and you are happy there were tickets available. There are two enclosed cars and you can walk to the open car in the middle for better sight seeing. On the way up Rt. 42 you saw soybeans up a few inches and sweet corn is up a foot already. You were thinking about how 42 is the old stagecoach route to Cincinnati from Columbus and how the Golden Lamb (just up the street) was the overnight hotel for such passengers on the coach.

0940 hours. The conductor and engineer are checking out the train’s mechanics that leaves at 1030. Pretty cool. I haven’t been on a train on American tracks since 1950 or so when Mom, sister Cathy and myself took a trip from Columbus to Pittsburgh. I don’t remember the reason except for the ride because we came back in the late afternoon. Fun time. We left from the old station off North High Street east, towards Fourth Street, maybe six or eight blocks north of the state capital building. Later, I found out my great, great grandfather (he and his family came north from Virginia before the Civil War) had a chance to buy land right in that area; instead he bought farmland in Delaware County near Center Village, Ohio. I like Ohio in spring and early summer when the crops are coming up. Family farming genetics I suppose. Parts of Ohio have naturally rich black soil perfect for farming. To me, Columbus (state capital and hub for The Ohio State University with several other smaller universities nearby) is still a big farm town; it has a quite different societal orientation in my mind than the industry towns of Cleveland and Cincinnati. This should be a fun day for everyone, especially for Owen. Yesterday, Brennan said “Owen” and “M, Mom, Mama” again so he knows the words, earlier this week he said them in context with the conversation but everyone thought it was a fluke. (0958)

Early afternoon. You returned from the one-hour train ride and everyone appears satisfied, then to Skyline Chili for a good surprise lunch as we earlier thought we were going to the ice cream pizza parlor a block east of the train station; however they weren’t open. Slowly you are coming around to returning to the blog, but you don’t know why exactly because you still feel most everything in the blog is ‘really’ mostly fiction, particularly your sensory aspects – you had not considered the ‘sincerely’ from the heartansoulanmind might not have more weight than the general human perception of reality.

         Frankly, I had not.

If a human being is innocent of the inner workings and dynamics of the combined heartansoulanmind, how can sheorhe be considered sincere or insincere? - Amorella

Human beings are not innocent, that is a given; although lines from a Robby Burns poem, “To a Mouse” flash by in the process.

 “To A Mouse”
By Robert Burns

But Mousie, thou are no thy-lane,
In proving foresight may be vain:

The best laid schemes o' Mice an' Men,

                        Gang aft agley,

An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain,

                        For promis'd joy!

Still, thou art blest, compar'd wi' me!

The present only toucheth thee:
But Och! I backward cast my e'e,

                        On prospects drear!

An' forward, tho' I canna see,

                        I guess an' fear!

[The concluding stanzas selected]

In context with the last twelve lines of “To A Mouse” we do have a specific innocence to the future. Many aspects of human lives are premeditated. Backward I can see but forward I cannot, thus only can I guess and fear what may come.

Accident is not premeditated and if one believes in destiny, it may be, but it is not premeditated from a human perspective. How many times historically a person or a tribe or other social community considered ‘destiny’ to be a part of an individual’s or a group’s social identity? When have those events/happenings worked out with the best laid schemes of mice an men?  Edit and post as I see fit, orndorff. - Amorella

You have returned to Kroger’s for basic food prep to add to tomorrow’s gathering at the Jack and Sheryl Cook reunion. It is a pleasant family gathering every other year where Carol’s other cousin, Marilyn, (Jack’s sister) returns from her home somewhere among the three great counties in the smaller state of Delaware. You are wondering how the sense of free will and destiny fit into the gear work of the soul? – Amorella

Not quite true Amorella. I didn’t have the words in place yet because a second thought runs parallel to your statement. I cannot imagine the circumstance(s) in the book where free will and/or fate/destiny play any part in a soul-sleeve before an individual’s heartanmind is added. Certainly the heart and mind toy with the metaphysical/abstract concepts of free will and fate we see the proof of this in the humanities, in the arts as well as in the after-the-fact discussions of seemingly ‘timely’ social/economic/political ‘inventions of thought and machinery-that-lead-to home planet(s) for the species. This/these consideration(s) can encompass any beings of higher consciousness, high enough for the discussion to arise and be considered by an intellectual/philosophical standard. It seems reasonable to me that this questioning would begin in the mind first, moved to the heart, where it may eventually move the soul. The soul alone, before heartanmind, would not have free will/accident or if it did (a fluke & if like in the real world), then Fate/Destiny could not be absolute. If accident can change fate then one has to consider that perhaps human beings can change their fate. This seems quite reasonable to me. Chaos theory is not so strong as quantum theory. Because of accident numbers cannot be absolute in terms of percentages just as fate/destiny cannot be absolute. It seems reasonable to me at this point in time.

I thought we were talking about the soul in relationship to free will and destiny? – Amorella

It is after 2200 hours and I am tired. It is difficult taking a soul’s perspective when I am a human being.

Let’s end with this, can the soul freely choose its counterpart heartanmind? – Amorella

I have another question, for what reason would the soul wish to interfere (ever so slightly) with the heartanmind’s sense of free will? In other words, if the soul has free will to choose a particular heartanmind it would appear to be rigging the odds of the heartanmind’s potential without the foreknowledge of the said heartanmind. If the soul felt the fall of a heartansoul and accidently caught it trying to miss being caught by the falling heartanmind, then there would be no rigging. Flukes could happen, just as they do in the real world, i.e. the human species, could be a fluke and the marsupial-humanoids suggest in the Merlyn’s Mind books.

You lean to accidentally free will. – Amorella

I feel more comfortable with it as my name appears as the author. I do see a complication – what if this falling heartanmind is only half picked up by a particular soul? That the heart has one soul protector after physical death and another soul has the mind? [How would/could this affect/effect the conclusion of the in our modern time rebellion of the Dead?]

Such an accident would be possible following your logic. Post. - Amorella
