Notes - How does Mr. O do that? / Piper or Boatman? / prep for Pouch-4

Almost noon. You spent the morning relaxing and doing your exercises. And, you wonder how Pouch-4 is going to be, as you haven't pre-read the scenes so far.

I do not remember. This is how it was grading expository essays and term paper of ten to a few pages more. Read one, grade content, grade grammar, grade (usually 1 to 5 or 1 to 10). Ten or five is perfection, probably no more than ten to twenty such grades in my entire career of 37 years. I liked the ten-scale best (8 and 4 on the respective scales were B's.) My eyes are too tired to grade anymore but when I was on a roll I could churn out those papers and essays. Grading papers gave me a natural high, probably similar to the high long distance runners have when running long distances. When grading I felt alive, I had an immediate purpose. 'Seeing how people think reasonably on a particular subject', what a wonderful occupation it was. It was even more fun if I had an audience. 'How does Mr. Orndorff do that?' was almost always the question. The fun part for me was and still is, 'I have no idea'. What a life, and I received pay for this. What a bonus.

The above is a slice of a happy memory, grading students' papers. Post, orndorff, no one will believe it anyway. - Amorella

It is true though, a heart-felt truth.

Without a doubt, old man, without a doubt. - Amorella

You walked out and collected the mail and talked to Carol about upcoming errands and chores.

I had a thought about what Doug said about time, that we live in the immediate past. I wonder if my sense of consciousness (when grading papers) was just a split second faster, maybe because I was on a natural high, and that somehow because of this I could never remember what I had just graded. Maybe it is the same in writing, I cannot remember what I wrote once the word is written it is gone; maybe it is this lack of just-off-the-present memory that allows my consciousness to appear to react faster when grading or now, when writing. It is not worth dwelling on -- just a thought.  (1306)

You had lunch at Smashburgers once again, this time with a free extra side; Carol chose the veggies that you both enjoy. Presently you are waiting for Carol outside of Hallmark Cards at the VOA Centre across the street from Smashburgers. You took time to check over email, as you are also right outside of City Barbeque's free wireless. You had sent a note to Laney about the Rio Olympics and received a quick reply wanting to know if the 'reflective' building on the island is real.

Laney has her own life and I feel that I might be interfering with it when I write her a note. She is always busy, and she has been as long as I have known her, some twenty-one years now.

You want to deny she is a muse in your heartanmind but cannot do so. - Amorella

I cannot because she is a muse, one of two, in my heartanmind.

So, you do not wish to deny she is your muse for these books as well as the last three. - Amorella

I would never deny this. Indeed, she is.

You see, there is no argument in your heartanmind over this. - Amorella

My want to deny, where was this from if it was not from my heartanmind?

It was from your brain, boy, as it is connected to your surviving physical seventy-year old self. - Amorella

Interesting. The body has fears I do not have. (1525)

This may proof useful in Pouch-4. - Amorella

1552 hours. We are at Pine Hill; Carol is walking around the lakes.

Suddenly, you realize: "When I write I am, as it were, out of body, at least consciously". This is not provable, of course, but it is a true observation about you from yourself. And, in context and circumstance I agree. In a metaphorically conscious sense you are as your character Merlyn, deadanliving, when writing. - Amorella

         1559 hours. This is muse-time.

No, it is not, boy. Muse-time is the lead; so to speak, in that bullet you call love. - Amorella

Oh. No wonder love can be considered heavy duty at times.

You are human, old man. This is what being human is. This 'whirlwind' causes fear because it may create an illusion of a storm-tossed heartanmind when this is not the case. Passions rise from fear and love and a myriad of other human conscious and unconscious dimensions or addressable platforms. - Amorella

You are now at Kroger's on Kings Mill Road waiting for Carol to pick up diet Snapple for herself.

I have nothing else to say, Amorella.

You have plenty to say, boy. I'll see that our inner lines of communication stay open.  Post when you are home. - Amorella

When my heartansoulanmind is in a reasonable balance I have no fear in my heartansoulanmind. -  rho

You learned something about your humanity and its separation from your physical body, that, in your physical universe you must have by necessity, consciousness comes at a price, birth and death. That's the way it is in these books. - Amorella

Is this an example of paying the Piper or paying the Boatman?

You knew the answer before finishing the question. Leave it however for your few readers to think about. - Amorella

2215 hours. For the last hour or so I have been doing research on the Cessna 210 Centurion. I cannot believe I found a free manual online for a 1973 model. What a help this will be. Details, emergency procedures, landing, take offs. Awesome.

You will not need this as much as you think, orndorff, but it does give you more confidence to tackle this. You also spent time gathering more details on Burke Lakefront. Once in the front entrance of the terminal you go to the right and the plane sets out beyond the fence to the east of the tower. You take the secondary runway 6R/24L for take off. You want to witness a few take offs in this Cessna 210 on YouTube, then call it a night boy. - Amorella

I am getting pumped. I love this kind of pretending as it has a purpose (and I can learn something in the process).
