Notes - naming the characters in Grandma-5

Late morning. Carol is still at her breakfast and you watched the latest episode of "Revolution".

1023 hours. I am ready to work on Grandma-5. Such a beautiful day. Carol will want to go on a walk when they return.

2046 hours. Boy was I fooled. We both worked around the yard, mowing, raking, putting lawn furniture, etc. away; five or six hours worth by my estimation. I'm tired (and I had an afternoon nap). We go to Columbus tomorrow for Aunt Catherine's funeral and a visit with Uncle John before returning home.

You over-estimated the work by two hours but I'm sure it felt like five or six hours. You were attempting to give ancient Chinese names to the two people who are dead in Grandma's story. The Thailand region would be a better (ancient) location than China. - Amorella

I found this in a Wikipedia article on Thailand:

** **
"The traditional Thai greeting, the wai is generally offered first by the younger of the two people meeting, with their hands pressed together, fingertips pointing upwards as the head is bowed to touch their face to the hands, usually coinciding with the spoken word "Sawasdee khrap" for male speakers, and "Sawasdee ka" for females. The elder then is to respond afterwards in the same way."

How about I call her "Sawasdee Ka" and him "Sawasdee Khrap" with the irony being lack of respect and politeness for one another? Few would know but a Thai might see the humor in it.

This shows more about your mind than most would like to know. But go ahead, at least for now. Post. - Amorella
