Notes - word choice / anger and arrogance

         Nightfall within the hour. Earlier today Doug wrote and said that he too did his first paper on the RAF and the Battle of Britain and also enjoyed the footnoting, as you also did. To you this is a further sign of heartanmind connection with him, you wrote and told him that you hope these intangibles are elements one can take with one upon physical death. - Amorella

         You just expressed it better, Amorella. Intangibles is the very word I was looking for but couldn't come up with at the time.

         Look it up. - Amorella

intangible [(s) the noun]
adjective

1 the shadows were more intangible than usual as they shifted with each quavering bough and passing cloud: impalpable, untouchable, incorporeal, discarnate, abstract; ethereal, insubstantial, immaterial, airy; ghostly, spectral, unearthly, supernatural.

2 team spirit may be intangible, but we wouldn't have gotten to the finals without it: indefinable, indescribable, inexpressible, nameless; vague, obscure, abstract, unclear, indefinite, undefined, subtle, elusive.

         Placing those adjectives into nouns is elusive at best because of context needed for further reference. From my perspective in this blog's context the 'intangibles' are a reality akin to a Platonic imagery of a heart or mind being within a Form of Shared Passion.

         2042 hours. Busy day. Two hours at the pool, water heated to 78 degrees. Wonderful for Ohioans; Floridians no doubt think we are out of our minds for hitting the water in December.

         You had lunch up Sand Key a few miles, the Friendly Tavern, a local place on Gulf Boulevard. Good lunch - chicken quesadillas like you would make them yourself. Afterwards a drive up through Clearwater Beach and return for a nap then Kim, Paul and the boys headed out to the pool for another hour. Supper of leftovers in boxes from several lunches out. The boys are in bed, and you are thinking about it yourself. You are unnecessarily troubled by Michigan's 'Right to Work' vote believing without unions labor is going to be more easily exploited by business.

         Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land" sits deep.

"This Land Is Your Land"- Words and Music by Woody Guthrie
This land is your land. This land is my land
From California to the New York island;

From the red wood forest to the Gulf Stream waters

This land was made for you and Me.

As I was walking that ribbon of highway,

I saw above me that endless skyway:

I saw below me that golden valley:

This land was made for you and me.

I've roamed and rambled and I followed my footsteps

To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts;

And all around me a voice was sounding:

This land was made for you and me.

When the sun came shining, and I was strolling,

And the wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling,

As the fog was lifting a voice was chanting:

This land was made for you and me.

As I went walking I saw a sign there

And on the sign it said "No Trespassing."

But on the other side it didn't say nothing,
That side was made for you and me.

In the shadow of the steeple I saw my people,

By the relief office I seen my people;

As they stood there hungry, I stood there asking

Is this land made for you and me?

Nobody living can ever stop me,

As I go walking that freedom highway;

Nobody living can ever make me turn back

This land was made for you and me.

         It is not right to exploit your parents or your children, nor is it morally right to exploit your friends. It is not morally right to exploit your fellow human beings out of respect for the higher intangibilities of our species. - rho

         You are angry and arrogant. You are entitled to your opinion just as everyone else is. Post. - Amorella
