0854
hours. Breakfast and the newspaper is most always a good way to begin the day.
Lunch with Rich Grimsley is at the Chinese on Mason-Montgomery Road (I can
never remember the name of the place). Last night, once in bed, I thought
something 'new or relevant' was going to pop into mind, but nothing did as far
as I am aware. I am most always looking for unseen connections in life, I suppose
that is what the unconscious mind is looking for also or better yet, is
a part of. Looking out the bedroom window before doing my exercises is another
morning of blue winter sky as a backdrop to the many stands of bare trees and
their many nerve-like running branches. Branching is a key to many things in
life, so much so that one would think that it could leap to 'branching in the
spiritual world of the Dead as well.
For
instance, let's say there are three trees, the heart, the soul and the mind. Branching
might occur more like if there were three bushes that grew as a thicket. I have
no place else to go here. Just a thought. There is almost always something
hiding on the other side of a stand of trees. Hiding from my perspective alone
as all it has to be is there rather than here. Rattling on, no danger though, I
am not about to uncurl and strike. I have no fangs nor would I like any. It is
time for taking a quick nap before taking to the exercise. (0912)
Nap and exercise (more vigorous than usual)
completed and you are at China City Buffet enjoying your wait for Rich and
perhaps Dave a fellow colleague of Rich's at PAR Excellent Systems where Rich
is Vice President of Engineering:
"PAR Excellence Systems’ single focus is to
provide innovative and affordable solutions to assist the effective Materials
Management professional. For over twenty years, we have been the innovator in
the point-of-use industry. Utilizing state-of-the-art, yet affordable
technologies, PAR Excellence designs solutions to meet the dynamic requirements
of today’s healthcare environment."
Before
this when I first knew Rich he was Director of Engineering at Cincinnati
Microwave home of the Escort Radar Detector. I love engineers' minds (I have
several friends in engineering and physics) because they are observant and
practical in the approach to 'getting work done more efficiently, always more
efficiently'. This is the watchword of my marsupial humanoids. Making life
easier through engineering and physics. The goal is always to find a better
more practical, more efficient, and more humane way of making things work
better so people can live, grow, work and explore the world as fuller
human-like marsupial beings.
These
three rebels, Friendly, Hartolite and Yermey along with Ship decided to take
the courage to say 'hello' to Earthlings in an attempt to save them some of the
efforts they had to take to arrive at their own civilization; a twenty thousand
year leap both in technology and social understanding without the pitfalls seem
to them to be a good thing, most everyone living a better, more humanely
centered enriching life.
You are home after a full conversation at
lunch with both Rich and the president of the company, Dave W. You and Carol
are about to head to Montgomery to look for a better bird feeder, especially
for cardinals who have bigger beaks. Post what you have. Later, dude. -
Amorella
1651 hours. We are at McD's on Montgomery Road reading
(Carol is working on the new Time). We have a new birdfeeder and stopped
at a new cookie store before McD's for drinks. Okay, but nowhere nearly as good
as On The Rise in Cleveland Heights. Our high school social is next Thursday evening
and I am already looking forward to that. Hope I can visit with Fritz at lunch.
Setting the stage for Pouch-8 we have the
three finishing up breakfast with a second cup of coffee or cocoa. They had a
light snow shower adding a trace or so when breakfast started and now it is
spitting a few flakes and raindrops. Blake is considering telling the others
that he wants to take the plane up for a short hour circle ride about even
though the clouds are below two thousand feet. He knows they will veto it but
he is antsy for some airtime as the next few days there are going to be
thundershowers, thus more turbulence. They haven't been flying since late
January 2012. Justin wants to go to Best Buy to look for a new component for
the portable speakers he has set up in the guest bedroom. Pyl has clothes that
need washed and wants to catch-up with an old college roommate who has a
husband who transferred to the area in January. They now live Twinsburg. Carol
is heating up supper and the national news will be on shortly. Post. Later,
Amorella
Yes, it is. Post. - Amorella
You
had leftovers for supper and watched the news then last night's DVRed
"Person of Interest" and "Elementary" before beginning
work.

hours and I have completed the first 403 words of Pouch-8.
Pouch - 8
Sitting
around Blake Williams' breakfast table three minds were actively setting up
their diversely planned Thursday, 1 March 2012. The date could be seen on the
front page of The Plain Dealer. A
little more than a month had gone by since the Carlson sisters attempt to buy
the Cessna 210 Silver Eagle. Pyl was reading the local section of the paper; an
article about the Chardon School shooting, Justin glanced over the sport's page
focusing on the loss of the Cavaliers to the Knicks with the final score, 120
to 103.
Blake
stared at the weather page which said that the mostly cloudy sky would produce
light snow showers would change to rain and the light west wind would be coming
from south instead giving a high of 42 degrees even the night temperature was
to stay above freezing. I could take the plane up around noon or one popped
into his head. I haven't been up since the end of January. What a mess that
was.
What
a weird couple of days. People come in out the blue wanting to buy the plane,
we tell them we don't want to sell and they leave without another word. I would
have thought they would have at least sent an email thanking us for their
afternoon ride to Put-in-Bay and back. Nothing. "I'd like to get some
flight time today. The weather is going to be worse with thunderstorms the next
couple of days. I can get some instrument time in what with the weather mix and
cloud cover."
"You
just want to see the sun, Blakie, not that I blame you," commented Pyl.
It's rather depressing." I have a pile of clothes to wash, she thought,
and added, "I wouldn't mind going along. Do you want to come Justin?"
"No,"
he sighed. "I'm reading a couple of magazines, Car and Driver. We've been back up here only a couple of days and
I'm getting bored. This weather doesn't help I'm ready to go home." Love
the Jennifer cookies at On the Rise though, he thought. They are always worth
the trip up here, and we can take a dozen home with us.
"You'll
like the Car and Driver articles on
the Shelby and the Viper. You can read them any time. I'm bored too, Justin,
that's a good reason to fly above the clouds with us if you like," smiled
Blake.

For
now we will leave these people at the house and moved to Ship's setting with
everyone still asleep. - Amorella
Why would they be asleep it is after
nine o'clock? What have they been doing for the last month?
What would you have been doing if you were
they, orndorff? - Amorella
Making preparations to meet and greet
a political leader or two I suppose. That's what they are here for.
Who are they going to choose and why? What
ramifications on their choice? How will they make themselves known? What are
the implications? The last point before bed was 'what if the earthlings fear we
will spread a new disease even accidently?' This is one of the fears those on
ThreePlanets already have, an accident of some kind. Best laid plans of mice
and men, that sort of thing, and even worse the dread of walking up to
earthlings with the best of intentions and knowing everything might "Gang
aft agley". - Amorella
Ah
yes, the best of intentions. They are having second thoughts and haven't to
courage to actually meet with human beings. What with all the science fiction
novels and movies -- well, there are crazies among us as is. I think I would
just go home and forget about it, let earthlings solve their own problems or
not. The species is not worth their effort. No wonder no one ever calls. I
would not. No question about it. I like to think that somewhere inside we are a
noble species worthy of respect, but if an alien I would not be here myself.
Too much can go wrong and things could end up worse than if they never came
calling at all.
Strange that you would write such a story knowing
that you, as an alien, would not be a part of it, don't you think? - Amorella
No. The beauty of fiction is that I am
not a part of it except as an 'actor' (the stage manager) with you the director
on the stage. Much safer.
