Almost time for bed. You spent much of the working day
on setting up the old 'Natural Voice' program on the MacBook and running
through some chapter one's to get the 'voice' right for Aunt Patsy and Uncle
Ernie. The man's voice is more distinct to them so that is what you are using.
You set the speed a touch slower so they can listen easier. The first few times
you had the speed at twenty-nine minutes for a title +/acknowledgement/prologue'/first
chapter; now it is thirty-four minutes. - Amorella
2145 hours. I also discovered some corrections, mostly
sentence flow when I hear it. I was going to do a rush job but have decided to
take me time, do it right, and modify those Near Final Drafts a little more. It
is not a waste of time. It is amazing how hearing the words (even if some
pronunciation is not completely accurate) makes a difference for better Nearer
Final Draft.
Good.
That was your call. Tomorrow take the time to listen to the whole chapter and
make changes as you go along. It will be easier as the process becomes too
complicated; otherwise, too many drafts floating around to be corrected later.

I
don't want Owen and Brennan to think I don't know what I'm doing, and that I am
attempting to be the best writer I can be in this circumstance, not the best
writer.
No arrogance here, boy. If you live long
enough we'll get it done. If you don't, then it is no longer your concern.
You'll leave a mystery for those who are readers. It'll give them, those deeply
interested, something to wonder about. That's not all bad either. This is nothing
to fret about either way, boy. You're covered. - Amorella
Thank you, Amorella. Even if you are nothing but
projected and personified imagination, you are a comfort, a friend. I have no
regrets. - rho
