Notes - if consciousness were a bolt of lightning /

Mid-afternoon. Last night we had a talk but I said to save it until today. Here it is:

If being, if consciousness were a bolt of lightning, what would the thunder be? - Amorella

Do you mean the consciousness of a full life of say, 70 years, in an instantaneous bolt of lightning?

Make it a full life of 100 years and you are on. - Amorella

Lightning is the exchange of energy and plasma. According to scientist Bruce Steo, lightning moves at variable speeds. Lightning is in fact not light. But as the electronic plasma moves through charged air, it releases light waves. Depending on air conditions, the typical lightning bolt moves at 224,000 mph -- or about 3,700 miles per second.

However, the light you see from the lightning obviously travels at the speed of light, which is roughly 670 million mph, or 186,000 miles per second.

I also found that a lightning bolt last 30 millionth of a second. So, you are saying that in the Merlyn books a hundred human earth years equals thirty-millionth of a second?

Roughly, it will do for an analogy. - Amorella

So, back to the original question, what is the thunder? - Amorella

         I don't know.

1600 hours. We had a late lunch at Smashburgers, Carol is finishing her packing and some time in the next hour or so we will be heading to Westerville for a flight in the morning. I don't know why it is always rushed before a travel but it is. Doug sent me a very excellent response to Amorella's analogy question which I am enclosing below I haven't formulated a response as of yet.

Dick, Interesting question. If consciousness is an instantaneous lightning bolt, then thunder would be all the events that we initiated because of this consciousness. If you stop and think about what we actually had influence over in this life it is quite an amazing list. Chaos theory comes to mind and the flap of the wings of a butterfly. Not clear how we got where we are but we are here anyway.

Maybe I'll have more today, maybe not. I will post though when the circumstances are favorable.

You'll be fine, boy. Post.  - Amorella
