Late
afternoon. You and Carol were busy most of the day but you have made time for
working/reading facing southwest in Pine Hill Park. It is cloudy and the distinct
rumbling of thunder is to the north. The surprise for the day is that you
talked about cars (Carol brought it up) at Smashburgers today and you had found
a site that shows what people have paid for new cars in your area for the last
month or so (it is always updated). The price for your 2013 Avalon Limited
Hybrid on their site is 38 to 39 thousand so that is three less than full price
plus you add either a trade in or sell the 2003 for three to five thousand so
that will bring it down even more. When you mentioned 39 Carol added about 2400
for sales tax. She mentioned on waiting until July or August when there are
added incentives to buy before the 2014 cars are out.
Who would
have thought? I really didn't have to bring it up. A Toyota brand is more plebian
than Lexis so I don't have to feel so self-conscious about buying one, but
still, it is a lot of money. However, if we keep it for ten years that isn't so
bad considering what it would cost for two new cars every five years. When we
were both working we bought a new car most every three to five years, at least
until the mid eighties when I didn't have but a mile to go to and from school.
Carol still had about 34 miles a day and it was about the same for me going to
and from Indian Hill.
The rain has commenced and you are waiting
for Carol at Kroger's on Kings Mill Road where she is buying a few more
cleaning supplies for Kim and Paul's place next Monday.
At least
I don't have to think about cars so much until July or August, besides she is
showing positive interest in the Avalon Hybrid over the Honda Hybrid -- another
surprise.
Are
you ready to work on Dead 18? - Amorella
I need to
get organized.
You are home and Carol has assorted cleaning
materials, etc. ready to go to Delaware. You had not really noticed the pile
under the lip of kitchen-island.
1705
hours. While pulling some material from these notes I saw these sentences:

If
this is the story then why does he succumb to Vivien?
I don't
know, perhaps her youth, her beauty, her natural charms? (1720)
You
need more than this, orndorff? Post. - Amorella

I
still don't know what I need to know here.
Post. Later, dude. - Amorella
You
had Arizona turkey soup and crackers for supper. You both watched the last CSI
for the season tonight and both CBS and NBC news programs. You cannot imagine
what the draw is for Merlyn in terms of Vivian. Her eyes are Scottish sky blue
and her skin is as fair as royalty, her hair is a stark black and her skin is
innocently soft and delicately subtle. You have never seen a young fourteen
year old with these features. Long dark lashes (Basque features) in a Scottish
girl. Let's see if we can find a facial image online that will captivate
Merlyn. - Amorella
2133
hours. This was not a good idea, Amorella. I am very uncomfortable looking
young pretty actresses, any young girls online even though they are over
eighteen. I saw one out of a lineup of ten, Victoria Justice. In one photo she
had jet-black hair and very fair white (light) skin. I did not look at her
eyes. This is not a good idea. Too many years of seeing all those pretty high
school girls and me focusing on how they were as nieces or daughters to me. A
male teacher has to watch himself at all times. Helping raise a daughter made
it easier for me. I was as an uncle or grandfather, that was my role. Obviously
Merlyn wouldn't think like this. In fact, I think he would have been timid
around young girls at the age of 36. He would certainly be well aware of the
world of sex used as power or as magic, but I think he was more objective and
detached. Like a chess player he would be thinking beyond any short-term
natural outcome. What would sex do beside distract him from the greater
holistic aspects of a world and/or universal view of Nature with no need of
Super-nature. What else can I do but see him as a transcendental existentialist
like myself?
I
think he would have to fight both the Druidic theology as well as the Catholic
theology of the time. He saw himself as a unique natural element such as
'unstirred air', nothing seen but something breathed unnoticed by all. Without
force Merlyn could work within the invisibility of nature unnoticed, a
chameleon with elements of science not magic always framed at his side but
never with, being clothed with the untouchable and unseen of nature, clothed with
the spirit, clothed with the metaphysical element of soul coating his physical
body as if he were, so to speak, the living encased in the spiritual material
of the dead.
Vivian,
I believe, understood this and wanted to breathe him into her lungs so to speak
but to do so would disturb and stir his being, thus he would not be the
transcendental Merlyn but Merlyn which is not who he was. Vivian wanted, needed
to suck the transcendental out of him because she thought it had to do with his
magic, with Druidic power. Merlyn was not a Druid though, he was less. He saw
himself as less than common, less than ordinary not more. His heartansoulanmind
are unstirred air, or at most, unconscious air taken into the lungs and
breathed out unnoticed. One of the four basic elements - unstirred air not
fire, earth or water, not any more material than need be. Why else would Merlyn
and Grandma get along? Merlyn, the iconic human spirit, not Merlyn of fire and
water and physical weight (earth).

You have what you need for Dead 18 between
the lines above, "This is not a good idea, Amorella," and "You
have what you need." Post. - Amorella
My
thoughts (two above paragraphs) are vertical statements not horizontal.
Once you understand this you will be able to
write the draft of Dead 18 without my help. In fact, it will be-come into
consciousness at the moment of self-understanding. Good night, boy. Now post. -
Amorella
I have no
idea Amorella. I do not even know what I have written. It is a too fresh of a
translation from passion itself.
