Last
night you relaxed with a hit and pick supper while watching the national news
then you turned to the Sundance channel and watched the Swedish "The Girl
with the Dragon Tattoo" and liked it almost better then the American
version. Upstairs, and you listened to the radio, mostly long quiet Sanskrit chants and bluegrass
gospel. You are embarrassed about the gospel in that it appears hypocritical
for an agnostic but your focus is on lyrics with spiritual hope built in rather
than religious hope. - Amorella
Christian hope sometimes has a
selfishness built in; a spiritual hope of salvation for only Christians, and I
cannot imagine such a G---D behind it. I don't know what Jesus actually said, or
the actual intent in context, but he was Jewish and it is difficult for me to
feel he would give that up for himself, especially if the 'Father' in his
message was Yahweh. Jesus was humble but he could be arrogant if some of the
stories about him are based on fact, but not that arrogant. In my heartanmind
it does not seem 'right' from a Christian or a Jewish perspective. To each
their own speculations. I don't know, but as it doesn't seem 'right' to my
inner self, then it isn't. We are each who we are and have to live within our
own definitions if we are to remain inwardly honest.
You leave 'soul' out of your self-explanation.
Why, boy? - Amorella
I have no way of knowing how the
'soul' would-if-it-could perceive such a religious concept. I would think that
most every religion has genuine spiritual aspects but they are different grains
and bake different breads, that is my meaning. (What an odd combination of
words.)
That's
because the concept is influenced by your soul's presence. - Amorella
Quantum
meta-physics?
If you wish. Post. - Amorella
That's funny, Amorella
Not meant to be, boy. - Amorella
Finish your carrot
cake then go to Dead 19 and we'll continue. - Amorella
Go
ahead and post, boy. Amorella
You ran an errand to Walmart and stopped for
a large diet, light ice and a McD quarter pounder with cheese on the return.
Pleasant afternoon so you are sitting in the green Accord facing north on the
far west Rose Hill Cemetery lane. You gravitate here because you are alone and
to your direct left is a headstone with "LEDBETTER" and on your right
is a headstone with "ERTEL" with the script note below:
"Descendant of Pioneer Settlers Daniel [and] Catherine Myers Ertel". - Amorella
In
the late eighties you drove by the cemetery at night and your eyes registered a
glowing greenish light to your west. Your immediate thought at the time was
"spirits rising". Today you think, maybe swamp gas as there is a
lower level below the fenced cemetery where the 'Lakeside' subdivision where
you live used to have a bonfire on the weekend preceding Halloween for the many
children and adults in the then newly established MI Homes development, the
first in Mason proper. On the ground level below the bonfire area is a
meandering northbound Muddy Creek. - Amorella
1342 hours. I never saw another such phantom-like
event in Rose Hill but to say cemeteries, a few of them, are not haunted, my
agnostic tendencies say, "I don't know. I doubt it, but a haunting is
possible as long as human beings have a spiritual aspect that defies physical
death."
Thus you have your spectral tale of Merlyn,
boy; one told by an agnostic rather than by an idiot. Funny, huh. - Amorella
You are the one whispering to my
fingertips, Amorella.
That should be ghostly enough, shouldn't it,
boy? - Amorella
1349 hours. It used to be, but not
really so much any more. The evidence is in my twenty-five to thirty years of
note taking.
On another note, your cat colleague Ebbie is
looking pretty fit. You have given her some attention as well as food and
drink. She plays a little while then heads off to another section, the east
side of the bed, for some quiet solitude and sleep. Don't you think it strange
that most people tie faith and belief together but you connect with the
spiritual through doubt and happenstance? - Amorella
I try not to dwell on it. (1359)
Post when the circumstance arises. -

1551 hours. More errands run and I'm currently where I shouldn't be,
having a carrot cupcake and a large diet Coke at Panera on Tylersville. Stopped the Family Pet vets with a stool
sample of Ebbie, turns out she is fine. We have one healthy about one year old
neutered and declawed cat. Hope we keep her. Fuel is still up but I found it at
UDF for 3.85 rather than 3.89. What's going on with Merlyn and how is it going
to relate to the conclusion of the book?

2356 hours. While at Panera I received
an email from Rich G. We had supper with others at O Charlie's then drove to
Lunken Airport to watch the Solar Impulse Across America land. I have two photos via my iPhone. This was very cool.
