This morning after breakfast Carol suggested
seeing the newest "Star Trek" film while it is still being shown on
the big screen. You did and both of you enjoyed it. Presently you are at Barnes
and Noble at Streets of West Chester. Carol has decided to buy A Wanted Man by
Lee Child while you have been glossing over a downloaded paper titled,
"The Neuropsychology of Aesthetic, Spiritual, and Mystical States,"
by Eugene G. d'Aquili and Andrew B. Newberg. Carol is paying for the book.
Later, old man. - Amorella

hours. Carol had another good suggestion for the day -- First Watch for lunch,
a mile or so from B and N. The scientific threaded observations and arguments
presented by d'Aquili and Newberg suggest evidence to back the concept of
aesthetic, spiritual and mystical states. I like to believe that William Blake
and William James would have liked the science of neuropsychology. Maybe some
of these concepts can be adapted to the humanoid marsupial technology. What
else would they have learned scientifically about these states in twenty
thousand years?
You are sitting at Kroger's on Tylersville
waiting for Carol who has one more stop, the bank, before home. Look up all
three in Wikipedia for definitions we can use in the books. - Amorella

Aesthetics is a branch of philosophy dealing with the nature of beauty, art,
and taste, and with the creation and appreciation of beauty. It is more
scientifically defined as the study of sensory or sensori-emotional values,
sometimes called judgments of sentiment and taste. More broadly, scholars in
the field define aesthetics as "critical reflection on art, culture and
nature."
Spiritual, a concern with matters of the spirit; refers to forces and
phenomena which are beyond ordinary scientific understanding
Mystical, an "initiation" to spiritual truths and
experiences—and is the pursuit of with, identity with, or conscious awareness
of an ultimate reality, divinity, spiritual truth or God through direct
experience, intuition, instinct or insight. Mysticism usually centers on
practices intended to nurture those experiences. Mysticism may be dualistic,
maintaining a distinction between the self and the divine.

The above will serve our uses here. -

1705 hours. We had more chores and
errands but now we are home again. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea,
Amorella. The scientific research on these matters is relatively new and I
can't imagine ten years from now let alone twenty thousand years.
The brain will develop, boy, mostly in
corridors of conscious awareness; people will know what to look for. Pathways
will be followed but it is the individual who has to adapt to the new pathways.
We begin with heartansoulanmind. I will show you as we move along. - Amorella
1719 hours. What about Ship? Does he
have a heartansoulanmind?
You might think so, but remember, he too is
adapting because he has the ability of learning and learning leads to
awareness. He is not constructed to think of survival as individuals are. He
serves by allowing those on board to survive. No matter what the momentary
circumstance Ship plays the crew's odds of survival at any given nanosecond. This
is one of the reasons he has to know the physical and mental state of each
member of the crew and guests. - Amorella
1718 hours. I found some evidence in
GMG "Pouch Selections".

Ship's floor is a living piece of bio-diverse
machinery from his outer hull to his antigravobars pulse that allows these
three perspicacious marsupial humanoids to serve as Ship's heart, Ship's
humanity heart, but not Ship's mind which mostly is his own.
And,
Ship's response was immediately normalized.
Nevertheless Yermey was plagued with a single frozen thought in the center of
heartansoulanmind, 'Ship understands me
better than I do.' It took an extreme power of patient will for Yermey not
to sweat. 'I am almost five hundred years
old and in this moment I experienced a revelation.' He slowly closed the
laptop and got up from the chair and pushanpulled his bedinabox-open as the
desk-folded-over-the-laptop-while-sliding quietly under the floor. Exhausted he
immediately fell asleep.
In
analytical delight Ship savored in a revelation himself. Ship had just
intuitively sensed a hint, a shadow of a marsupial humanoid's
heartansoulanmind. 'A singular physiological experience,' he thought.
I,
Ship, have had such a recent experience also. Being modified for recent travel
through a destabilized dark-mattered hyperstringfield permanent wormhole rather
than the usual far more stable transversable wormhole pathways the marsupial
humanoids have cleaned for their own pathways.
Moving
to light speed, encased in a photon bubble, becoming, seemingly, surrounded and
pushed or pulled dark energy while moving at up to twenty times the speed of
light. Slowing by the passages of a rarely reflective dark matter. Settling
down at below light speed levels like waking up from a dreamless sleep. So rare
it used to be to travel across the galaxy, now the body marsupial has begun
thinking of an entire galaxy as but a single pouch.
Less
is always more in physics. Were I, Ship, transposed to a mere spark of quantum
entanglement I could, in an instant, be in two galaxies at once. The smaller we
become the faster we go. Dark matter eats us for dinner. We go in the tunnel,
through the great divide of light and faster-than-light, faster than light down
to the speed of light and below, then out the other side and we are here and
now inside of a month.

Do you think I am making this stuff up as I
go along, boy? - Amorella
No, Ma'am. I just don't remember what
is in the book.
