You had a good visit with Dr. B. and see Dr.
G. July 10. At Carol’s requested you headed into Kenwood for lunch at
Potbelly’s which you both enjoyed very much. Otherwise, you have been thinking
about going ahead with book two and not e-publishing book one until later (or
maybe never). – Amorella
1432 hours. Why do you have to bring
these things to the forefront Amorella?
To consciously keep you abreast of your
thoughts. – Amorella
I can put the first book into a new
blog by itself so it can be publicly shared. I was thinking about this. I like the writing process, book two is
already fun. In the seventies when I began novels I wrote them and filed them
in boxes under my desk, my satisfaction peaked at their completion. I am more
comfortable this way. I don’t mind sharing them with those interested but publishing
is a kind of gimmick – particularly self-publishing, and real publishing is
business, something I am really uncomfortable with; I am embarrassed with the
concept of doing something for money, particularly at this concluding stage of
the game. (1444)
Basically you are lazy and don’t want to
deal with any kind of publishing. – Amorella
1448 hours. That’s pretty blunt
Amorella, but yes, basically that is it, but I don’t really have my heart in it
either, the publishing part. I feel awkward about the idea. I don’t want to
give it away though either; that is, I want to have the copyright. I don’t want
people making money off the books in any shape or form, claiming the story for
their own or modifying the story in an attempt to make money. I don’t mean it is
that good of a story but I don’t want anyone making any profit from your work
or mine.
This
wouldn’t even come up if you hadn’t suggested that I wait until after
completing the first two chapters of book two before going ahead with
e-publishing book one. I am glad I waited and I do have to make changes in book
one already.
Why don’t you do that before working on
Pouch 2.2. – Amorella
1447 hours. That’s a good idea. I
could easily forget about making the additions/corrections to the Brothers’
families.
1743 hours. I made the corrections but
in the process I am finding the verb tenses in book one are not correct. I
corrected these. I will have to search through and find the corrected
manuscript document. This is very aggravating – all those verbs. I will check
the master Pages document first. I thought I made a copy and switched it to
Word.
You are right to get this straightened out
first. – Amorella
While checking my email I found a
message from Allison, one of the e-publishers I talked to. I told her I haven’t
decided yet, that I need to complete chapter two as well as refine book one.
What a coincidence. That’s what it is. I can live with it. Reality, I can live
with it.
You
have spent an hour or so final proofing Chapter 21 of GMG.1. You will continue
to work backwards through each chapter from conclusion to beginning until this
proofing is complete. This is a legacy to Kim, Paul, Owen and Brennan. You want
them to know you more of who you are as a person, as a human spirit with a
creative heart and soul and mind. Post. – Amorella
