Notes - communication /

You had router and modem problems later last night and this morning it took about a half hour to correct them through Time Warner – the problem was between your router and the modem. This is a technical problem you have never experienced before, but you are commending TW for helping to quickly identify and resolve the problem after you called. – Amorella

After coming to an understanding whether the lady was talking about the router or the modem. I felt rather foolish but at first I was focused on the lights on the modem while she was talking about the lights on the router. She no doubt thought I was some old fellow who couldn’t remember which hand was left and which right. If she had asked directly I would have probably responded, “Stage right or right?” That was pretty much the state of my mind at the moment. I would be more concerned about this if it hasn’t happened once every couple months since I was four or five. I am on one wavelength, and someone else is on another. It used to be frustrating, but I just let it go. Mostly it would get to be a waste of time; it would be like arguing what color red is.  I would say it is the color at the top of a traffic light and let it go. Sometimes people say, “What world are you living in, orndorff?” And, my silent reply would be, “One slightly different than your own.” Which is pretty much they way it is – our bodies and minds are our own – parts we share by breathing; parts we don’t by breathing. As long as we know the top traffic light from the bottom we can get along. That’s the way it was in my conversation with Jo from Time Warner. (1015)
