Mid-morning.
You were up late for breakfast – Carol had eaten and finished most of the
paper. You have a niece who is ill and recovering in the hospital which tempers
your and Carol’s day. – Amorella
It reminds me of when Paul was in the hospital a couple of years ago
and even at the Cleveland Clinic they could not find what was exactly wrong –
which was/is the scary part. They (doctors and staff) kept at it though and
eventually he fully recovered. That is the basic assumption here too, but it is
worrisome nevertheless. This time it is a burst appendix and I’ve been there as
I am sure a lot of other people have been. The patient has to be thoroughly
‘cleaned’ out to prevent infections. In my case, at twelve, I was in the
hospital for eight to ten days fighting infections. I remember that part was
nothing compared to the sharp pains before I was taken to the hospital by an
emergency vehicle of some sort; sirens whining all the way from Westerville to
Columbus Grant Hospital downtown. Such illnesses and recoveries preoccupy the
mind – and rightly so, at the time.
The
world is as it is, as you well know, orndorff. – Amorella
Most find themselves personally in such a spotlight a few dangerous-to-health
times in life, a few, unfortunately, only once.
You
did check in with BookBaby publishers (ebook) and found they have a sale, fifty
dollars off until the end of the month. – Amorella
1024 hours. I did and I looked at Green publishing again and also at
iUniverse (ebook only) publishing. It is difficult to know whom to go with, but
then it would be better if I completed book one first. Such is life.
Carol received a call from Linda and Jean is improving to the point she is will be out of intensive care later today and will be allowed to leave the hospital on Monday. – Post. - Amorella
1157 hours. This will make for an easier afternoon.
1416 hours. One of the joys of retirement. Jean is better, she is still
getting married on this coming Friday. We, Carol, Mary Lou and myself, are
driving down to Valdosta on Thursday and Saturday we are driving on to Tampa
with Linda and Bill. Mary Lou has to be back for a performance at the Ohio
Historical Society on Wednesday so she will fly back from Tampa on Tuesday. This
Wednesday Carol will go to Kim and Paul’s and have lunch with Kim, pick up Mary
Lou and bring her back Wednesday so we can leave early on Thursday. This whole
bit took less than thirty minutes to plan as well as for Mary Lou to get an
airline ticket home. I am really going to have to kick in on these book one
chapters to finish it up. Hey, we have a plan. Cool beans, as my sister Cathy
would say back in the early seventies.
Carol
is readying for lunch at Smashburgers in a few minutes. You are already pumped
for a road trip. Post. - Amorella
It
is time for bed. You watched several shows, among them the second “Endeavor” in
the PBS summer mystery series. The setting in Oxfordshire and Oxford is a
pleasure to your eyes. The well-enacted English cadence is a delight. You did
complete chapter twelve and hope to do eleven and perhaps even chapter ten tomorrow.
Post. – Amorella
