Mid-morning. Carol has a strange rash on her
right cheek that is spreading to her neck, so she is in Montgomery Family
Medicine and you are waiting in the lot. Dr. Kindt rather than Dr. Merling is
in today. You rather insisted she come in because of the ‘killer’ bacteria once
discovered in your upper cheek and you would rather err on the side of caution.

1010 hours. After our neighbor waited
until after the weekend and he was dead within a week of a very similar
bacteria and a former student died within a week of the same (in different
years) there is no way I am comfortable waiting until Monday to come to the
office. It probably is something minor (hopefully so) but this is the plan
anytime someone contracts something very odd and fast moving on/in her/his
flesh at least as far as I am concerned.
1107
hours. We are at Yost’s Pharmacy in Mason. Evidently Carol has poison ivy but
the doctor thought at first it could be shingles or an allergic reaction, so we
were not alone in thinking it was unusual rash. Carol hadn’t been working in the
yard since Wednesday though so we had ruled poison ivy out. Usually if either
of us contracts poison ivy during the day the signs are evident later in the
same evening. I am thankful that is all it is. It is best she is starting the
pills today.
Now is not the time to work on Pouch three
because you are not ready to focus.
1145
hours. We are home and about to head out for errands and lunch. Seems like I am
missing something though.
You
had lunch at Smashburgers and are stopped at Tylersville Kroger’s for a few
items and after dropping them off you drove to Pine Hill Lakes Park where you
read and Carol took her walk. You completed Pouch 3 to your current
expectations. – Amorella
1633 hours. This segment did not
conclude as I might have expected; a darkness in my humanity made itself known.
I remember such events that are now without words.
You remember when you first thought me a
real angel and you attempted to make yourself more than you are – such a good
moral thinker, like I was a teacher you wanted to show off your best character.
Then one nasty thought followed another, and another and you thought there
would be no end to it and your most private sense of being. – Amorella
“Imagination within reason” is
my present thinking and has been for some time. It is awkward to even contemplate those days of 1988 anymore. – rho
Evening. You had a light supper and watched
the last two episodes of “Suits”, NBC News and an episode of “Covert Affairs”.
You are ready to begin the Dead segment to finish up Chapter Three. – Amorella
2158
hours. I have to re-read Dead 2 to conceptualize Dead 3. At present, I have no
idea what it is about. – I re-read Dead 1 and 2 – Merlyn with the Supervisor;
then Merlyn with Socrates. Who is Merlyn with in Chapter 3?
Let’s put Merlyn on the Board, that is we
let Merlyn give a descriptive overview of the Place of the Dead, the place
where hearts and minds manifest and souls float and touch. A Place with a James
Gleick-like Chaos setting rather than Quantum Mechanics. – Amorella
2215 hours. First, here are my
daughter’s 1996-97 Logic Notes [I cannot find my own notes] from my Brit lit
class on Quantum Mechanics:

“Quantum
Mechanics is reality.” Neils Bohr
Quantum Mechanics Characteristics:
[Free Will-like]
1. random chance
2. impossible to predict outcome
3. no link between cause and effect
4. no elementary phenomenon is until it
is registered (observed)
5. particles/waves exist in a never-never
land and in time and space (thoughts)
6. the universe appears random, our
brains are built to see order
7.
the observer changes what is observed therefore nothing may be an objective
reality - ?

The
only thing Kim has down for Chaos Theory is:
** **
Chaos Characteristics:
[Fate-like]
1. Our behavior
is attributed to beliefs, knowledge and expectations [culture]
2. notes from
Chaos by James Gleick
3. [probability
shows randomness is not necessarily random in computer models]

I did compare and
contrast the two concepts in the logic lectures, but I’m sure I gave a better
explanation than this. In general I was attempting to show that though these
two concepts are science oriented the intent as far as literature goes, blend
and lend themselves to the ancient philosophical concepts of Fate and Free
Will. I will have to research some updated background on Chaos Theory.
This will give you something to check out
then. Post. – Amorella
2232 hours. This is weird, Amorella. I
am conjuring Dante outlining The Divine Comedy with illustrations. I
don’t feel I have the mind for such things. I know I don’t have the mind for
such things. It does sound interesting though. I have never thought of
HeavenOrHellBothOrNeither residing in Chaos Theory setting. Who would think
such a thing in the first place? I will post this after I add a definition of
Chaos Theory so I have a refreshed framework to follow.
2248 hours. I have two beginning
points for this project.

Chaos
theory is a field of
study in mathematics, with applications in several disciplines including
meteorology, sociology, physics, engineering, economics, biology and philosophy.
Chaos theory studies the behavior of dynamic systems that are highly sensitive
to initial conditions—a response popularly referred to as the butterfly effect.
Small differences in initial conditions (such as those due to rounding errors
in numerical computation) yield widely diverging outcomes for such dynamical
systems, rendering long-term prediction impossible in general. This happens
even though these systems are deterministic, meaning that their future behavior
is fully determined by their initial conditions, with no random elements
involved. In other words, the deterministic nature of these systems does not
make them predictable. This behavior is known as deterministic chaos, or
simply chaos. The theory was summarized by Edward Lorenz as follows:
Chaos: When the
present determines the future, but the approximate present does not approximately
determine the future.

Chaotic dynamics
In
common usage, "chaos" means "a state of disorder". However,
in chaos theory, the term is defined more precisely. Although there is no
universally accepted mathematical definition of chaos, a commonly used
definition says that, for a dynamical system to be classified as chaotic, it
must have the following properties:
1.
it must
be sensitive to initial conditions;
2.
it must
be topologically mixing; and
it
must have dense periodic orbits.

Chaos theory
can be applied outside of the natural sciences. By adapting a model of career
counseling to include a chaotic interpretation of the relationship between
employees and the job market, better suggestions can be made to people
struggling with career decisions. It is possible that economic models can also
be improved through an application of chaos theory, but predicting the health
of an economic system and what factors influence it most is an extremely
complex task. Economic and financial systems are fundamentally different from
those in the physical and natural sciences since the former are inherently
stochastic in nature, as they result from the interactions of people, and thus
pure deterministic models are unlikely to provide accurate representations of
the data. The empirical literature that tests for chaos in economics and
finance presents very mixed results, in part due to confusion between specific
tests for chaos and more general tests for non-linear relationships. Traffic
forecasting is another area that greatly benefits from applications of chaos
theory. Better predictions of when traffic will occur would allow measures to
be taken for it to be dispersed before the traffic starts, rather than after.
Combining chaos theory principles with a few other methods has led to a more
accurate short-term prediction model.

hours. I assume that somehow for this fiction I can put this in the mix of an
individual heart and soul and mind within a community of other hears and souls
and minds.
You might do well to use a weather-like
analogy as you did in one or more of the three self-published novels. –
