Notes - on the beach / awareness / sunsets

Mid-afternoon. You did your forty minutes of exercises after breakfast and before lunch you and Carol spent thirty minutes in the pool exercising your legs while the others enjoyed the water. Owen swims from one long end of the pool to the other unassisted – everyone is happy to see this of course. He did this a dozen times or so. You tried a new place called Beachside Grill – great sandwiches. You will be returning. For dessert you drove a few more miles north towards Clearwater and stopped at Cafe du Paris for excellent French pastry for dessert. Upon return Brennan was already asleep. Owen is watching a movie. The beach has a pretty good crowd with more twenties and thirties aged this time around. – Amorella

1506 hours. The Gulf is green-to-bluish with 19 mostly older people in the water. Amazing there are about as many people in the water as there are on the beach itself. Kim and Paul are sitting under their rented cabana – Kim reading, Paul resting. Whitecaps sparkle like tinsel on a Christmas tree – a delightfully pretty scene. Presently only the wake of a passed boat scars the surface. Puffy whites have invaded the light blue sky—otherwise it appears quite peaceful. We saw a pod of dolphin yesterday but none today – no pelicans today either though we sighted half a dozen or so yesterday. Five handsomely young fellows are attempting to hustle three eighteen to twenty-one year old ladies. The boys are enticed by little more than tan and a few curves in the right place. Life goes on and will continue to do so as long as the kettle of humanity continues to brew. In some ways it is more interesting to observe than the young lady casually displaying her wares the other day. Body language can be so subtle, so much unconsciousness that it might be easily misunderstood by either party. Ah, a throwback to the sometimes unseen dark humor basing our species. Human behavior cannot always be so easily defined at any particular point in time. Times up, two of the girls but on T-shirts and head to the condo, four young men follow. The other appears to be quite satisfied gathering the sun she came for. These are my perceptions based on memories of experiences long ago and may no way be equated with the truth of the young men and women on the beach. Shoot, they could all be cousins with a brother and sister thrown in the mix.

         Later, dude. Post. - Amorella

Dusk. Kim and Carol made spaghetti and you also had watermelon for supper. The two are alone out on a walk down the beach as the sun sets. Paul has the boys in the bath after another good day at the condo and surrounds. You find yourself quite satisfied seeing Kim and Carol together and alone on a walk. – Amorella

2005 hours. The satisfaction brings a contentment that as we grow older I know all will be well after my passing. We have a strong family unit. Kim will see to her mother’s needs as time runs on. We are a good family unit. We have good memories. – rho

This comes from deeper than you imagine, boy. It is down there among the folds of the beginnings of humankind, at least from your unconscious perspective. – Amorella

2012 hours. I did not realize there was that close of a connection. It is hard to believe there is.

Believing is not being, young man. Being is from A to Z, this is your existential thinking. One is herorhis awareness of what life includes – consciousness and unconsciousness. There goes today’s pelican. The people have gathered; the sun has set. Tomorrow, you have lunch with Linda and Bill. Once the boys are asleep Kim and Paul are going up to the Daiquiri Shak to watch the Cleveland Cavilers play some B-ball. Post. - Amorella
