Almost noon. Blue sky and sun have returned
after yesterday’s rains but are enclosed with much cooler air. You swept the
deck of tree droppings, changed the furnace filter and are working on the front
water hose, as Carol wanted the fixtures tightened. You did your forty minutes
of exercises and followed it with a nap holding Jadah on your lap. Carol has
her schedules taken care of and after talking to Marsha you have a luncheon
date in the middle of June with her and David – maybe a picnic at a Delaware
park (as her mother and sister live in Delaware).

hours. Carol checked with Kim and she’s available that day. So maybe she will
meet Dave and Marsha once again. She was two or three the last time she saw
them – at Aunt Floy’s funeral; their kids were also there.
1456 hours. I need to work on Dead 9; I’m tired of seeing it
setting here in doc icon.
It’s good to clean up your desktop now and
then. – Amorella
Cool
wind blowing briskly in southwest Ohio this late sunny afternoon. After your
errands a stop at the Graeter’s just off Mason-Montgomery Road appeared
mandatory so you both took advantage of it before stopping at Kroger’s and then
home. – Amorella

hours. A great advantage of being retired is that we can normally do things we
want to do when we want to do them. And, if we don’t want to do anything then
we don’t.
You used to feel guilty not working in the
summers when you were otherwise not under an Ohio public teaching contract.
Summers were always off but you received no pay during that time. In fact you
had no paid vacations as such. Thanksgiving, Spring and Winter breaks were not
under contract. It is still this way as far as you know. – Amorella

hours. Carol and I always considered our summer pay was time off. I don’t ever
remember anyone complaining about not getting paid in the summer. Eventually
you were allowed to change your payment structure and get less each month you
worked so it could be given to you at least as a monthly salary in the summer
months. Even then some didn’t do it because the school system to take advantage
and make some interest by keeping a portion of your original salary longer. Some
people are satisfied, some complain no matter what. I did feel guilty in those
days because people would see as someone who could not or world not look for
work. I knew better than to feel guilty but I did anyway. I was taught that
people are always guilty of something. All a person has to do is sit down and
think of what sheorhe has not done that sheorhe he should have completed by
now. That’s step one of many depending on how much ready memory sheorhe has at
herorhis disposal. Shoot, and I’m not even thinking about sins and their
circumstances.
Time to stop, boy or you’ll put yourself
into a funk. No more such thoughts tonight. Post. – Amorella
