Late afternoon. You are sitting on the
southwest corner of State and College in front of Jimmy V’s waiting for your
Senior crowd to arrive. You had a good lunch with Fritz then stopped by the
city building and talked with Kevin Weaver, Director of Public Service about
the other two plots in the Flook section of the cemetery. He is interested in
the other papers Carol found from her mother and copied them for further study.
So, it sounds promising. After this it was up to Kim and Paul’s for a two-hour
afternoon nap. There is lots of traffic in old Uptown Westerville this time of
night. Later, dude. – Amorella

hours. It has been a good day and productive in the sense that I got to meet
the director. What will be, will be, but I told Kim that at least she and Paul
have a shared plot in Otterbein Cemetery (using Mom’s unused plot in the
Orndorff section). She is satisfied with that if they can’t be buried next to
us. I mean we all have relatives scattered about in the place – it doesn’t
really make much difference. It is about time to go in and visit with the old
crowd of the Class of 1960.
You had a good time, but after you arrived
home (top was back and windows were down) you called Carol and found there has
been another bombing via a truck this time in Nice. No one at the restaurant
had heard anything. You like everyone else knows no way to solve this problem,
and assume it is unsolvable. Your mind rolls back to the setting of Orwell’s 1984,
only it’s in a modern setting. – Amorella

hours. Huxley’s Brave New World is in the margins. It is amazing how
much has not changed in our ‘world’s social/governmental systems’. It reminds
me of how it must have been in Rome moving into the Middle Ages.
