Notes - reading for the pleasure of reading and learning

Late evening. This Sunday was quite relaxing. Carol spent the morning watering the grass as we have had little or no rain this week. Then she washed a load or two of clothes. Meanwhile you had a nap as your joints ached. Recovering later, you completed your first forty-minute exercise of the week and did some household chores. You each had snack lunches at different times. Carol napped and read and you also read two more chapters in Elon Musk by Vance. – Amorella.

2217 hours. I read chapters seven and eight and enjoyed them both. Startups like Tesla and Space X were something, and both together. Musk shows himself to be a very unique, focused and courageous individual – such people make a difference in the world, or at least attempt to make a difference in the world – a good difference for the betterment of individuals and humankind in general. He puts his money where his mind is.

Later you had a trek to Kroger’s for necessities and cookies, filled the car, came home relaxed, ordered Papa Johns pizza, watched NBC News and last Thursday’s, PBS-14, “Mid Sommer Murders” and the new “Suits” also from last week. “Inspector Lewis” is on tonight for later-in-the-week viewing. You also watched and enjoyed the relaxing CBS’s “Sunday Morning” this evening.

2229 hours. I enjoyed not writing today too, but reading instead. Reading has its own enrapturement for me – I am carried away by a well-written and engrossing nonfiction the same way Carol is carried away by good fiction. That’s one of the things I like about The Dewdrop Discoveries blog. While it is not strictly nonfiction it is not fiction either. Notes are what they are – focused and shareable observations.
