Notes - rattling on

Evening. You had physical therapy for an hour this morning and have it again next week; you found it more helpful than you thought it would be. During the day you spent time reading about hearing aids, and types, etc. Eventually you discovered that one of the offices is right in the Mason Community Center so tomorrow you will check it out. Carol just reminded you to take the wall phones out of the master bath, the one by the tub and the other by the toilet. – Amorella

2116 hours. I’m rather embarrassed about this in today’s world but in 1992 I wired for phones in every room in the house, including the bathrooms. They do need to go. It was a fun project at the time, like wiring cable before the walls went up. Few could say, in the 1990’s, that they had two phones in the master bath. I don’t think in all these years we used them more than half a dozen times. I always liked them though, why, just because. I never bragged about it or anything. Who visits the master bath anyway? I just liked the reality of the concept. The phone rings while I’m taking a bath so I reach over and pick it up and say, ‘hello’. Most cool.

You read the new Consumer Reports and Motor Trend yesterday and enjoyed both. – Amorella

2124 hours. Motor Trend wasn’t so hot because it was about SUV’s – not my cup of tea. I forget what the other was about but I read it intently at the time. I’m got a couple of Discover magazines to read and a new Harper’s. Tomorrow morning our furnace man is coming to make sure everything is up to par for Winter. The outdoor thermostat connected to the heat pump is not registering correctly, about ten degrees hotter than it is. The humidifier may need a new filter – last year I thought it did and had a new one to put in but the fellow said the old filter was still good. Mundane operations that need to be looked at every so often. You’d think we’d be bored, but we aren’t. Life is interesting. There is always something to think about.

You received a note from Sharon about the free will discussion everyone was having while playing dominoes last Thursday evening. She wanted to know if Carol was just reacting or actually had free will when a snake appeared on their car one day in Saigon and Carol was the first one out although she was in the middle back seat. – Amorella

2135 hours. That was a good story because it was a small snake and might have been very deadly. If you got bit by a specific small snake in Vietnam, you might be dead before you hit the ground. Anyway, I wrote that Carol had free will because her determination to get out showed she did. She didn’t react, she moved with purpose. No one got bit but Carol’s mother had the military take the car in clean it out before taking it back to their house. She and the girls took a taxi home. Sharon agreed with my response. We had a great time playing dominoes and sometimes we had discussions on free will and what is reality while playing to make sure no one got bored. It was a lot of fun. I always responded to their questions but not everyone agreed with me. I like that. No one everyone agrees completely but we all try to get a rise out of the other one time or another. That’s part of the fun.

       Post. – Amorella

2142 hours. I’ve just been rattling on in my head, Amorella – hardly worth the time to write it down.

No rattle in your tale though, boy. – Amorella

2144 hours. Good one, Amorella. That just came out of nowhere. How come I don’t see/feel/sense your lines coming?

Because I’m not you, boy. Post. – Amorella

2146 hours. I don’t completely believe you, but you are a mystery and have been for many years now.
