Notes - civic duty

Late morning. John is here working on the remaining plumbing. Carol is talking to her sister, Linda. You have been reading Quora online. – Amorella

1123 hours. On Quora there was a conversation about a land turtle in Brazil that’s shell was damaged in a fire and they made a 3-D form of it and attached it. Very cool. They did the same for a tropical bird’s beak. Along with the discussion/article the author showed a film from Sao Paulo about how the vets did the work. Quora has interesting stuff, questions you wouldn’t normally think about and responses from people who, through experience, did respond. There is another example from this morning – ‘Can a plane fly too high?’ and the answer was: a  small plane flying to high, to 41,000 feet or thereabouts and the twin engines locked and never ‘unfroze’. The plane crashed. Why, pilot error and being inexperienced to recover when the engines locked down. It is almost always fun to learn something you did not know and even if it is not fun, you can gain some sobering perspective. – After John completes his work we are off to Lebanon to vote early and be done with it, then have lunch to celebrate our completing our civic duty.
