Sunday
evening. Linda, Bill, Carol and you just finished watching NBC News. Earlier
everyone enjoyed The Columbia in Ybor City one more time – excellent food,
excellent setting. Yesterday you forgot to mention that in the morning Linda,
Carol and you drove to the cinema to see “Inferno” and tomorrow morning Linda,
Bill, James and you are planning to see “The Accountant”. – Amorella
1917 hours. It has been a good family day. I
had a late afternoon nap and feel better low back-wise. Carol and Linda are
reading and Bill is watching TV in the bedroom as are Jean and James in their
bedroom watching a cable movie. Jean and Jen have school this week but are off
Friday, 11 November – it used to be called Armistice Day when we were kids.

Veterans Day is an official United
States public holiday,
observed annually on November 11, that honors military veterans, that is,
persons who served in the United States Armed Forces. It coincides with other
holidays, including Armistice Dan and Rememrance Day, celebrated in other
countries that mark the anniversary of the end of World War I; major
hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day
of the 11th month of 1918, when the Armistice with Germany went into effect.
The United States previously observed Armistice Day. The U.S. holiday was
renamed Veterans Day in 1954.
Veterans
Day is not to be confused with Memorial Day; Veterans Day celebrates the
service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day honors those who died
while in military service.

Presently, you appear interested in
working on Soki’s Choice. – Amorella
1944 hours. I do, but as usual I don’t know
where you are.
Let’s
go to Soki’s Address. – Amorella
2044 hours. A couple of interruptions, but I
am to the point where what is left is:
“. . . Diplomat will
gain that combination so as to draw from both species unconsciousnesses to
progress to an even higher consciousness and she will more readily gain a
conscious not only of the Living of both species but also the Dead of both
species. – Amorella”
You are not to the point you think you
are – you are beginning to see that this story is more encompusing than you
thought. You are also confident that this is indeed a first draft because of
the depth humanity has to offer. – Amorella
2052 hours. Indeed. I don’t know what
humanity entails in this book but the focus appears to be centered not on us so
much as how humanity as an alien quality, is.

2113 hours. I found this information on ‘classification’.
I don’t know where else to begin in terms of ‘humanity’ as a concept of an existential
being, i.e. a substance, as in meaningfulness [and purpose].

cultural anthropology - study of

Include
purpose with meaningfulness. – Amorella
2119 hours. Is this a broadening story of
what humanity is as told by the Soki?
Yes.
– Amorella
2122 hours. Is it philosophical fiction? What general style, that is, what published
book shows similarity? Surely something I have read or been introduced to. – I will
look for a philosopher who was/is also a storyteller. – I hear a whisper, “As
you wish”.

This famous line is spoken both by Westley, played by Cary
Elwes, and by the Grandfather, played by Peter Falk, in The Princess Bride
(directed by Rob Reiner, 1987). Of course, it's originally from the book.
When Westley
was Buttercup's
farm boy, he used to respond to all of her requests with a simple, "As you
wish." He'd flash her a sexy little sideways smile and get his eyes to
twinkle, and somehow Buttercup would correctly identify this as his way of saying,
"I love you."
Really? That was the best he could do?
Later, Buttercup pushes a masked Westley down a steep hill (not
knowing who he is), and only realizes his identity when he yells, "As…
you… wish!"
Finally, the line gets a shout-out in the frame story of the
movie. The whole fantastical Wesley/Buttercup storyline is actually contained
within a book that a grandfather is reading to his grandson. At the end of the
book, the grandson asks his grandpop if he can read him the story again
sometime.
The granddad says,
"As you wish."

You
think the whisper you heard was from me, the Amorella?
2155 hours. It was either you or my intuition
– the line was the first thing that popped in my mind. If this is so, are saying
William Goldman’s The Princess Bride: S. Morgenstern’s Classic Tale of True
Love and High Adventure is an example of style?
What
do you think? – Amorella
2159 hours. William Goldman. I will have to
sleep on it.
