Saturday, midmorning.
A tip of the proverbial black beret to long ago student, office aide and muse,
Kym S. who once asked me, “What is love, Mr. Orndorff?” Happy Birthday, Kym! My
best to you always. – rho (0942)
Carol is at the grocery. The tree is up and
decorated. The house is cleaned to her satisfaction. – Amorella
0947 hours. It is only supposed to be 39 degrees at noon. We’ll have to
be bundled up for the train ride. No heat. I’m tired already. No morning nap. We are supposed to meet them at 11:30 near
the depot. Lebanon also has a parade at one so it’ll be busier than usual. The
county seat is always full of traffic on any given Saturday. Spooky is at the
front window talking to the birds eating the crab apples just beyond and to the
right of the window. I’ll go sit with Jadah maybe we can both catch a catnap.
You got in a fifteen to twenty minute catnap before Carol returned. She
is concerned about the cold because you will be sitting most of the time. –

Kim said that because of the Christmas parade at one there will be even
less parking. Part of the time we’ll be sitting in the car. They are to arrive
at the depot before eleven-thirty so we are leaving at eleven taking the Honda.
You are stopped at Kroger’s near Rt. 741 for
a couple more items. Kim, Paul and the boys are already at the house. Everyone
had a good time on the Lebanon Polar Express – before getting on the train
everyone (adults too) got a hot chocolate and a toll house cookie, then on the
decorated train car – elves stopped by with candy canes, balloon animals and Santa
also stopped by giving each child a ‘special bell’ that rings if they believe. –

1412 hours. I quietly reminded Kim that the boys would hear the bell
either way, but she didn’t want to hear my nonsense.

hours. We met Kim, Paul and the boys for dinner at Longhorn after the four of
them saw a children’s film Trolls at the new Liberty Mall (Township)
theatre.
Paul just finished giving the boys a bath.
