Notes - complications in ch. 16

      You had a good day and did not open the laptop until a few minutes ago. You did work on chapter sixteen and we should easily complete it tomorrow. - Amorella

       2251 hours. It is interesting. The sexual nature of Justin is so different than Hartolite's. I don't think marsupial humanoids realize the complications such things hold for human beings. Justin is happily married with Pyl. He has never seen a pouch before let alone touched one. She does not appear to think of her pouch as intimate, at least not sexually so. She mentions to Justin that Friendly has put her hand in her pouch and that sometimes she puts her own hand in for comfort. There are complications but I think most of them are mental and rules for friends - whose hands are allowed with permission to slip into a physical slip at the belly. It makes me wonder about Yermey and Pyl. Female primates have breasts but don't really share them with friends like Hartolite shares her pouch. This is all very weird to think on how it would be 'being friends' with another species. I also think on how it is to have female friends and to be happily married at the same time. What is in a hug between friends of the opposite sex? The touch of a friend. What keeps it from being sexual?  I don't really know. It's complicated. Maybe this is a reason male and female friends who are happily married to another avoid such situations. How is it that the marsupial humanoids can be okay with it? Don't they realize human beings are darkly complicated? What aren't they so darkly complicated when they are set up as human characters? (2308)
