Notes - eventually

You arrived home about one o'clock after stopping at Schneider's for donuts. You and Carol spent a few minutes at the old Alum Creek Park eating them. Before that you took Linda to Port Columbus for her return trip to Tampa. Before that you, Carol, Kim and Linda had breakfast at First Watch near Polaris Shopping after seeing Owen and Brennan both off to school. Paul was already at work. - Amorella

2200 hours. That was pretty much the day. Tonight we watched PBS's "Home Fires" and a "Bones" from three weeks ago. Carol slept part of the way home while you drove. Kim got us interested in seeing some condos and houses in the north Westerville area; in the process she asked her realtor to put us on an automatic feed for homes for sale. I don't think either one of us is presently particularly concerned about moving; but we'll get some ideas how things are in north Westerville from what is sent. Kim is keen on us moving back to the area so she can see more of us. We do love her, Paul and the boys but don't want to take up too much of their own time. Eventually though, if we live long enough, it will come to pass that we will have to move closer. We will need to 'clean this house' and rid ourselves of most everything but a few memories. We started with a small one bedroom apartment at ten and a half West College in Uptown Westerville. We had nothing but a few hand-me-downs, a two year old 1965 VW Beatle which I bought new with Popo's money, but paid for when we got married on a second year teacher's salary while Carol was a junior at Otterbein. I don't mind going back to nothing, so to speak. A two bedroom condo or small three bedroom, one floor home will do. We'll continue to give Kim and Paul the 'stuff' they want from our home or sell it or give it away. I really don't mind that sort of thing. We really do enjoy each other's company most of the time. We love each other. We have our savings and our pensions. We have a good life. Eventually we will have had a good life (I hope). If the future follows our past, a modest house or condo within ten miles or so of Kim and Paul will show up and we'll decide to take it. The rest will be follow-through.

2224 hours. I wasn't thinking about anything in particular when we started today's post. The words fell into place just like that house or condo will do if we live long enough. If not, then, I hope Kim, Paul and the boys will continue on with a good life for themselves.
