Mid-afternoon. You just
finished Sunday dinner at Cracker Barrel and are presently at Kroger's on
Mason-Montgomery Road. Earlier, you left Kim and Paul's after ten and were home
shortly before one. It was a light traffic day. Tim had mowed Friday but not
trimmed because of the rain yesterday. He was mowing his own yard shortly after
you arrived home. It is supposed to rain again later today and tonight. -

1550 hours. One of my classmates (while on vacation) died in South
Carolina yesterday, Darrel Althauser. I guess I've known Darrel since fifth
grade, maybe first if he went to Longfellow. We shared a few classrooms along the
way. Sad that he is gone; he was a regular at our bi-monthly Class of 1960
gatherings. Nice fellow. He liked to play golf. Jean said she hoped he was on
the course when he succumbed to a heart attack. There are worse ways to leave
this world I'm sure.
