Afternoon. This morning you and Carol
struggled getting the cats in their cages to take them to the vet. Jadah was
hiding behind clothes in Carol's walk-in closet and you caught her midair as
she jumped out of the road and dropped her in her cage easy enough. Spooky was
a challenge. First, you had to search the whole house then found her under your
bed back in towards the wall. You couldn't prod or coax her out. Finally,
Carol suggested moving the bed (not the easiest of tasks). Eventually, with the
bed back in a catty-corner from the wall Carol could walk in and haul her out.
The cats were fine, Spooky needed a shot and her butt hair trimmed, both got
their nails trimmed. Once home all was fine. Carol is on page 249 of The
Blue Bistro, but it does not appear to be her favorite book though her
sister, Linda had recommended it. - Amorella
1440 hours. Carol said it was, "Okay". I suggested she stop
reading if she didn't like it, but she continues. I don't know why unless she
changed her mind. She is diligently reading. I have yet to get back to that
science fiction book that toned like an Asimov book to me. I can't even
remember the title let alone the author. I would rather read nonfiction.
Earlier today a pleasant lady editor from
Atlanta called inquiring if you would like to republish Braided Dreams,
Running Through and Merlyn's Mind because you are developing a
following on your blog. You said you weren't interested because you are working
on a new book you will publish free online eventually. - Amorella
1454 hours. That's the gist of it. We are sitting at Rose Hill facing
north for a change. The mowers are working in the distance. It is supposed to
rain but hasn't yet. We had lunch at Piada Street Italian earlier. A 'Lucien
Clark' is buried to my left and a 'Spinner' is buried to my right. Those are
the family stones I can read from the car. This is a very pleasant place to
come and read/write. We are less than a mile from the house as the crow flies.
If we lived in Westerville we would probably go to the original Westerville
Park by Alum Creek or to Otterbein Cemetery. When we are dead and buried I
cannot image we being too concerned by living readers or writers on top nearby.
You are home. Carol is talking to her sister
Linda. You received a letter from the publisher and decided now is not the time
to see about any publishing. Good decision, boy. - Amorella
1535 hours. These publishing places are just trying
to make a living. I'll keep a copy of the material sent. I think it might have
been happenstance that I have been getting more hits on my blog. Besides, if
anyone wants to buy the Merlyn's Mind novels, welcome to it through the self-publisher
whose name I forget at the moment. I don't know why anyone would want any of
those books because they are not final drafts among other things. I think I
need a nap.
Post. - Amorella
Post.

Earlier you watch NBC News after having a
supper of very delicious leftovers. Then you both watched the last two season
episodes of "Blind Spot" and one-half of Rachel Maddow. - Amorella
2226 hours. I don't understand what the un-civilizing triggers are when certain
religious and political arguments come up.
Each evoke a defensive personal response as
if the individual 'owns' the 'property' of a particular religion or politics.
Why do some people think they 'own' and thus need to defend their religious or
political values. People don't own anything they cannot take with them when
they die. What good is a particular religion or a political party going to do
for you when you are dead? What do you think, boy? - Amorella
2235 hours. I didn't expect you to make a comment, Amorella. And, now
that you made it, I don't like it.
It's an existential comment. You are an
existentialist. - Amorella
2237 hours. In that sense then, the existential setting has changed. The
person's heartansoulanmind is free to be in the 'present', the dead body not
withstanding. If consciousness would still exist, then questions can still be
asked. First, politics as the living know it, would be useless. Second,
religions, as such, would have to allow for many beliefs of consciousness to
survive physical death. I don't know how that would be but I would imagine some
would disagree with what it means to be conscious and physically dead at the
same time. In my Merlyn stories these sorts of things come up from my
imagination. Let's say being dead is somewhat similar to being alive in that
people have to learn what continual surviving is on their own, particularly if
the Dead have free will. If they don't have free will then what is the point? I
think religion and politics as the Living know it would have little use among
the Dead, particularly if there are a lot of individual Dead. Human beings find
friends a necessity. I don't see how a religion or a political concept would
help other than to 'do unto others and you would have them do unto you'. That
would to me, be the common human value. -rho
You signed the above, does that mean you own
it? - Amorella
2255 hours. Touché. A personal lesson learned.
