Notes - the grandchildren / without Shakespeare

Early evening. You and Carol are almost packed except for last minute. Carol is waiting on one once-every-three-months bill that must be paid before you leave for Florida. It should arrive tomorrow after which once in the mail you will leave shortly after noon, or hope to leave then. If the bill does not arrive you will have to wait until Saturday to leave. In any case Kim, Paul and the boys will arrive at the Madeira Beach condo first. - Amorella

1954 hours. Obviously, it didn't arrive today, we are here. We decided to go to Longhorn for a good lunch. We also bought some ice cream desserts from Kroger to snack on and a new box of fresh Kroger's apple cinnamon cookies for the two day trip. We love our Florida road trips.

You both spent much of your free time yesterday and today watching the Senate Hearings, and presently you think the Trump presidency is going to survive it -- that is that he won't resign and he won't be impeached because of lack of solid evidence.

2006 hours. Constitutionally, the President has the right to fire the Attorney General. I did hear that on "Greta" (MSNBC) tonight. Now it is a "he said - he said" scenario. We'll probably watch  "Rachel" and "O’Donnell" at nine and ten tonight. I have watched some Fox News for contrast and it seems less pro Trump than usual, which is a surprise to me. The United States is still an experiment in being a republic. The messiness of such a government bothers me but a totalitarian leaning government bothers me more. . . . This has nothing to do with writing other than I am distracted by the 'theatre of it all'. I'm alive, life is interesting for its attractions as well as its distractions. I wish our grandchildren, as well as everyone else's grandchildren the best for a better world first. I cannot imagine anyone wishing them less.

       Post. - Amorella

2221 hours. Another lawyer, on Lawrence O'Donnell tonight said that the lawyer on "Greta" earlier tonight was wrong not because the President has the right to fire the Attorney General but because the President has abused his power in order to fire Comey. This is all very interesting stuff.

Real theatre rather than Shakespeare. No wonder you are interested, boy. Why wouldn't you be? Post, and sleep well. - Amorella

2229 hours. Thank you for the comment, Amorella. Completely unexpected.
