Late afternoon. You are waiting partially in the shade for Carol at
Kroger's on Mason-Montgomery Road. You had a late lunch at Penn Station then
drove in to The Rug Gallery on Kenwood Road in Blue Ash to look at the price and
quality of higher grade bedroom carpets to compare with higher grade M/I
carpets. They quoted $1500 to $2000 for a wall to wall 16x13 bedroom. - Amorella
When you arrived home you found the "Addendum to
Agreement Change Order" sent by Kelly M. to your Gmail account. Eight
pages with six pages of list deletes/adds. You and Carol spent at least an hour
going over this after running off a copy for each. - Amorella
2124 hours. One of the most fascinating materials
ordered is an Armstrong LUXE with Ridged Core, vinyl product named Farmhouse
Plank - Natural - A4617. Because of the underlying ridged core it gives
slightly like wood. My bare feet cannot tell the difference between it and a
real wood floor, my eyes cannot tell the difference either. Carol, who said she
would have nothing but real wood floors (which we have in our front entrance
and hallway to the kitchen now) decided this is what she wanted. I agreed
immediately. The price was only about a hundred dollars more than real wood. It
is UV protected and guaranteed by Armstrong for thirty years. Except for the
three bedrooms (carpeted) and three full baths (tiled or textured vinyl ) it is
all Farmhouse Plank.
This is not an advertising blog, boy. What is the real wow of the
flooring to you, the heart of what you love about the product, is the
technology and chemistry it takes to produce something that looks and feels
like the real thing without the possible problems that come with having real
wood floors especially in the kitchen/baths and entrances to the home where
water and other materials can be a problem. - Amorella
2145 hours. Indeed, it is the technology. Look what
we are able to do. We are a wonderfully functioning and creative living
species. Alas, we make bombs too, but hopefully we have the brains to not to
have to use them or use them sparingly if we have to out of necessity.
Post. - Amorella
