Evening. Carol and Kim made breakfast --
eggs, bacon, toast and orange juice. Lunch time, Carol and Kim took the boys
the park to play and to feed the ducks and geese While you helped Paul with a
couple projects plus taking out and putting in a new ceiling light which Kim,
Paul and Kim found after taking back the new one you and Carol bought
yesterday. You all had lunch at Two Cities Pizza uptown. You split a large New
York special and a small Chicago pepperoni pizza. Both were awesome with plenty
left over. Paul tossed the boys the football in the afternoon and tonight you
went to Potbelly's and dessert at Graeter's. The boys are presently taking a bath
and Paul is repainting the interior front door and the garage door from the
kitchen an exterior semi-gloss white. You forgot to order 'semi-gloss' when the
painters were here few weeks ago. After Paul finishes the doors you are both
going to watch a couple more episodes of "Stranger Things". Paul is
half way through the last episode of the first year and once to do a couple
more from this second year. You are enjoying watching this together even though
it is second time around for you. - Amorella
1947 hours. It is fun watching someone interested watching the series
for the first time. I am having a good time plus I see a lot of background
visual and vocal allusions from the 1980's I missed the first time 'round.
Earlier today you dropped in the paragraph
below from the other post because it is the continued focus on your 'theory' of
sorts about the nearly invisible spiritual-like elements of being human. Here
is the paragraph we are going to work from:
***
You have had nearly a two hour break and already you are feeling inadequate to do anything but simple research following your sense of intuition along the way. Another parallel but perhaps connected theoretical question: 'Is consciousness engrained in the human spirit, in the whole of the heartansoulanmind, not just in the biochemical aspects of brain, body and mind'? Do you agree with this assessment? - Amorella (9 November 2017)

1958 hours. Kim, Paul and Carol are spending time taking a sewing
machine to the basement from Kim's old room. They will come down again
specifically for preparing for the house staging in late February but also
earlier too to help with cleaning up the basement. Obviously I am not doing
much because they don't want me to get hurt from clumsiness or a fall. This can
be difficult to own up to at times. I don't mind helping but no ladders and
stairs are a part of their rules mostly for both us because of Carol's knee
replacement even though she is only seventy.
Post.

2005 hours. I'm not really doing too much here (blog work) either. I'm
glad we have a starting place to continue from the above. I never thought about
consciousness being a part of heartansoulanmind before. Consciousness is always
associated with psychology. I found an reference to a conference on The Science
of Consciousness in Shanghai sponsored by Crystal Globe Conscious Enterprises
-- the University of Arizona Center of Consciousness Studies.

TSC 2017 — The Science of Consciousness
Dates: June 6 – 9, 2017
Location: Shanghai, China
The Science of Consciousness (TSC) is
the world’s largest and longest-running interdisciplinary conference on all
aspects of the nature of conscious awareness, feelings and existence.
These include how the brain produces consciousness, how
consciousness can causally affect brain processes, the best empirical theories,
do we have free will, evolution of life and consciousness, the origins of
moral and aesthetic values, how to improve mental, physical and cognitive
function, and whether consciousness can persist after bodily death,
e.g. through “uploading” to machines, or via mental processes tied to the
structure of reality. These and other relevant questions are approached through
many disciplines in science, philosophy, business, the arts and contemplative
practices.
TSC began in 1994 at the University of Arizona in Tucson,
Arizona, and returns to Tucson in even-numbered years, alternating with TSC
conferences around the globe (Italy, Denmark, Japan, Hungary, Hong Kong, Sweden,
Czech Republic, India and, most recently, Helsinki, Finland in 2015). Now,
co-sponsored by the Center for Consciousness Studies at the University of
Arizona, and Crystal Globe, Shanghai, China, the 23rd annual
TSC will be held at the new Shanghai Disneyland Resort, June 6-9, 2017,
emphasizing modern concepts in the light of ancient traditions.
For example, many see the brain as a computer, with
consciousness emerging from complex computation among brain neurons, or from
as-yet-unknown circuits or features of biological matter and energy. This
approach motivates “brain mapping,” artificial intelligence (AI) and
efforts to “upload” human minds into conscious machines. . .
On the
other hand, some see consciousness as a fundamental property of the universe,
akin to mass, spin or charge, rather than emerging from them. These approaches
include panpsychism, dualism, idealism, Eastern philosophy,
Whitehead, quantum physics and cosmology.

hours. I don't ever remember reading specifically about this before. It appears
at first look that my 'theory' is already being studied. If so, I'll read about
it but obviously there is nothing much new under the sun.
