Mid-morning. You are waiting for Carol while she is at Dr. Mohammad D-'s office (yearly visit) at the Mason
Community Center. What with Carol with her sinus infections and you with a sore
throat you cancelled the trip to Kim and Paul's and the Capital Lighting
appointment tomorrow. It is a miserable
and cold rainy morning. - Amorella
1010 hours. I went to bed
about seven-thirty last night and didn't get up to get a bath until after eight
this morning. We are both quite tired and just need to rest.
After twelve. You stopped at Honda and saw and got in your first Honda
Clarity Plug In. Carol was sold and so are you. When the time comes Carol wants
to turn in the old Honda. You will have two hybrids a Honda and an Toyota. You
want to wait until the Honda has at least level three or four automatic
driving, then you should be set for life. - Amorella
1223 hours. I am looking
forward to the 2019 or 2020 model Clarity. I am really surprised she was so
struck by the car. Neither the front or back seats are quite the size of the
Avalon but they are close, certainly a larger interior and more comfortably
plush seats than the Camry or Accord Hybrids. Very exciting.
While Carol is reading magazines at Barnes and Noble you have been
reading over material by Peg O'Conner, Ph.D.'s What Are Your Most Important
Moral Traits? and "Moral character" article in Wikipedia titled
"Moral Character" and "Big Five Personality Traits" also
from Wikipedia. --> One more stop, Kroger's. The roads are slush to ice.
1400 hours. I just called Paul
to tell him about seeing the Clarity this morning and that Carol says okay and
when we do trade in we trade in the old Honda which is fine by me. Carol
doesn't like to drive the Avalon but she does like to ride in it.
Let's go to the "Big Five" article in Wikipedia. - Amorella

Big Five personality traits
From
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The relationship between the big five personality traits
The Big
Five personality traits, also known as the five factor model (FFM),
is a model based on common language descriptors of personality. When factor
analysis (a statistical technique) is applied to personality survey data, some
words used to describe aspects of personality are often applied to the same
person. For example, someone described as "conscientious" is more
likely to be described as "always prepared" rather than
"messy". This theory is based therefore on the association between
words but not on neuropsychological experiments. This theory uses descriptors
of common language and therefore suggests five broad dimensions commonly used
to describe the human personality and psyche.
The five
factors have been defined as openness to experience, conscientiousness,
extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism often represented by the acronyms OCEAN
or CANOE. Beneath each proposed global factor, there are a number of
correlated and more specific primary factors. For example, extraversion is said
to include such related qualities as gregariousness, assertiveness, excitement
seeking, warmth, activity, and positive emotions
That
these underlying factors can be found is consistent with the lexical hypothesis:
personality characteristics that are most important in peoples' lives will
eventually become a part of their language and, secondly, that more important
personality characteristics are more likely to be encoded into language as a
single word.
The five
factors are:
•
Openness to experience (inventive/curious
vs. consistent/cautious). Appreciation for art, emotion, adventure,
unusual ideas, curiosity, and variety of experience. Openness reflects the
degree of intellectual curiosity, creativity and a preference for novelty and
variety a person has. It is also described as the extent to which a person is
imaginative or independent and depicts a personal preference for a variety of
activities over a strict routine. High openness can be perceived as
unpredictability or lack of focus, and more likely to engage in risky behaviour
or drug taking. Moreover, individuals with high openness are said to pursue
self-actualization specifically seeking out intense, euphoric experiences. Conversely,
those with low openness seek to gain fulfillment through perseverance and are
characterized as pragmatic and data-driven—sometimes even perceived to be
dogmatic and closed-minded. Some disagreement remains about how to interpret
and contextualize the openness factor.
•
•
Conscientiousness (efficient/organized
vs. easy-going/careless). A tendency to be organized and dependable,
shows self-discipline, act dutifully, aim for achievement, and prefer planned
rather than spontaneous behavior. High conscientiousness is often perceived as
stubbornness and obsession. Low conscientiousness is associated with flexibility
and spontaneity, but can also appear as sloppiness and lack of reliability
•
•
Extraversion (outgoing/energetic
vs. solitary/reserved). Energy, positive emotions, surgency, assertiveness,
sociability and the tendency to seek stimulation in the company of others, and
talkativeness. High extraversion is often perceived as attention-seeking, and
domineering. Low extraversion causes a reserved, reflective personality, which
can be perceived as aloof or self-absorbed.
•
•
Agreeableness (friendly/compassionate
vs. challenging/detached). A tendency to be compassionate and
cooperative rather than suspicious and antagonistic towards others. It is also
a measure of one's trusting and helpful nature, and whether a person is
generally well-tempered or not. High agreeableness is often seen as naive or
submissive. Low agreeableness personalities are often competitive or
challenging people, which can be seen as argumentativeness or
untrustworthiness.
•
•
Neuroticism (sensitive/nervous
vs. secure/confident). The tendency to experience unpleasant emotions
easily, such as anger, anxiety, depression, and vulnerability. Neuroticism also
refers to the degree of emotional stability and impulse control and is
sometimes referred to by its low pole, "emotional stability". A high
need for stability manifests itself as a stable and calm personality, but can
be seen as uninspiring and unconcerned. A low need for stability causes a
reactive and excitable personality, often very dynamic individuals, but they
can be perceived as unstable or insecure.
•
People
who don't exhibit a clear tendency towards specific characteristics chosen from
the above-mentioned related pairs in all five dimensions are considered
adaptable, moderate and reasonable personalities, but can be perceived as
unprincipled, inscrutable and calculating.
The Big
five personality traits was the model to comprehend the relationship between
personality and academic behaviors. This model was defined by several
independent sets of researchers. These researchers began by studying
relationships between a large number of known personality traits. They reduced
the lists of these traits (arbitrarily) by 5–10 fold and then used factor
analysis to group the remaining traits (using data mostly based upon people's
estimations, in self-report questionnaire and peer ratings) in order to find
the underlying factors of personality.
The
initial model was advanced by Ernest Tupes and Raymond Christal in 1961, but
failed to reach an academic audience until the 1980s. In 1990, J.M. Digman
advanced his five-factor model of personality, which Lewis Goldberg extended to
the highest level of organization. These five overarching domains have been
found to contain and subsume most known personality traits and are assumed to
represent the basic structure behind all personality traits.
At least
four sets of researchers have worked independently for decades on this problem
and have identified generally the same five factors: Tupes and Christal were
first, followed by Goldberg at the Oregon Research Institute, Cattell at the
University of Illinois, and Costa and McCrae at the National Institutes of
Health. These four sets of researchers used somewhat different methods in
finding the five traits, and thus each set of five factors has somewhat
different names and definitions. However, all have been found to be highly
inter-correlated and factor-analytically aligned. Studies indicate that the Big
Five traits are not nearly as powerful in predicting and explaining actual
behavior as are the more numerous facets or primary traits.
Each of the Big Five personality
traits contains two separate, but correlated, aspects reflecting a level of
personality below the broad domains but above the many facet scales that are
also part of the Big Five The aspects are labeled as follows: Volatility and
Withdrawal for Neuroticism; Enthusiasm and Assertiveness for Extraversion;
Intellect and Openness for Openness to Experience; Industriousness and
Orderliness for Conscientiousness; and Compassion and Politeness for
Agreeableness.

1511 hours. Now it is
snowing. The temperature is sticking to 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
1708 hours. I had a much
needed nap. This personality type concept is not going to work for Amorella as
she lacks 'humanity' as such. She is a cardboard figure, two dimensions.
Yes, I could have told you that, in fact I have. Sometimes I'm one
dimensional. Some things you need to find out for yourself. - Amorella
1711 hours. What is the
difference between being two-dimensional and one dimensional Amorella?
Interacting with you I am two dimensional. When I am not interacting I
am one dimensional. I am what is necessary and nothing more. - Amorella
1714 hours. Okay. I like this.
Could you ever be three dimensional, that is, physical, a physical being?
I am satisfied with what I am. - Amorella
1717 hours. I sense that
'satisfied' is not an adequate response.
Like many solitary beings I am what I am. - Amorella
1721 hours. You are a romantic
figure, a romantic spirit.
You watched NBC News and last night's
"NCIS" and "The Rachel Maddow Show". You are copying
tonight's Rachel Maddow show. You also just finished Fire and Fury,
chapter sixteen. - Amorella

Chapter Sixteen of Fire
and Fury is about its title: "Coney". This was all a quick review of
what most everybody who is interested, knows. The key is that against the
recommendations of others, Trump fires Coney and Rod Rosenstein becomes head of
the FBI and Rosenstein, who was apolitical, appoints the former head of the
FBI, Robert Mueller, to the head of the FBI investigation on Trump. Who knew?
If this FBI set of stories was a fiction it would have never been published as
it being too ridiculous and unsupportive in real life.

Of course not. We are talking about a conscious spiritual being within

We Are Spiritual
Beings Having a Human Experience
Post Date September 05, 2013 Author
Betsy Koelzer
"We are not
human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a
human experience." - Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
Teilhard de Chardin was
a French philosopher, paleontologist, and Jesuit priest who thought deeply on the meaning our existence and
relationship with the Divine. What does it mean to be Spiritual Beings having a
human experience and how does it relate to our everyday lives? Spiritual Psychology is founded on the
principle that we are each Spiritual Beings having a human experience.
Sit with this
statement for a moment and it becomes self-evident.
We are not human
beings striving to be Spiritual; we are already Spiritual Beings. Meaning, we
existed in spiritual form before we were born into this physical world. First
and foremost, we are eternal Souls. In the very quiet moments of our busy lives
we can re-connect with this knowledge.
As Spiritual Beings
Having a Human Experience, How Should We Think About The Soul?
Our
Soul, that part of us that observes quietly behind what we do, think, believe
and feel, existed before this human life and will continue to exist after our
present physical life transitions. For each of us, our Soul is where
unconditional love, unending forgivingness, compassion, harmony, peace and joy
reside. Our Soul is a little piece of the Divine, here to experience this life
and its lessons. We are, indeed, Spiritual Beings having a human experience.

2200 hours. I don't agree
with her comment that "our Soul is where unconditional love, unending
forgiveness, compassion, harmony, peace and joy reside." Let's just say
I'm an agonistic on this topic, but otherwise I like Chardin's perspective.
Earlier you wrote that as a concept of a character study, I, the
Amorella, am as a cardboard character, that is that I am not three dimensional.
I replied that I am at most, two dimension when I write freely as I do now, and
one dimensional otherwise. For your own self-satisfaction you need to define
what being of one dimension might represent, particularly, as I have a heart
and mind of my own, so to speak. - Amorella
2130 hours. I don't believe I
ever thought of you as having a heart and mind. Mostly because I don't think of
you, the Amorella, as having a soul, certainly not a human soul in any case. Of
course, if you are, as it were, a separate personality from my own then you would
share my heartansoulanmind, which you do when you write about my human spirit
in the blog. I am not sure where this is leading.

One-dimensional space
From Wikipedia, the
free encyclopedia
In physics and
mathematics, a sequence of n numbers
can specify a location in n-dimensional space. When n = 1, the set of all such locations is called a one-dimensional
space. An example of a one-dimensional space is the number line, where the
position of each point on it can be described by a single number.
In algebraic geometry
there are several structures that are technically one-dimensional spaces but
referred to in other terms. A field k
is a one-dimensional vector space over itself. Similarly, the projective line
over k is a one-dimensional space. In particular, if k = ℂ,
the complex numbers, then the complex projective line P1(ℂ)
is one-dimensional with respect to ℂ, even though it is
also known as the Riemann sphere.
More
generally, a ring is a length-one module over itself. Similarly, the projective
line over a ring is a one-dimensional space over the ring. In case the ring is
an algebra over a field, these spaces are one-dimensional with respect to the
algebra, even if the algebra is of higher dimensionality.

Drop the above in but as you note in your head this is "one
dimensional space". It is space. Space does not exist in one-dimension, at
least how I use the word here. - Amorella
2251 hours. I think of one
dimension as a dot and two dimensions as a line.

Is it really possible
to imagine or see a one or two dimensional object?

A pure point is zero
dimensional. If you're thinking of a pure idealized point, there's nothing
there but a specific location, so no, you can't actually see it. You can
understand it, and you can locate it, but there's no 'thing' there to
visualize.
If you do want to
visualize your point, to give it some substance, then you have to use a dot. No
matter how small, the dot will have at least two dimensions in order to be
visualized, and in reality, yeah, the dot is three-dimensional in that the
pencil lead creates a tiny little lump on the paper.
In mathematical
diagrams we frequently use dots to represent points, but there is a difference.
You can see dots. You can't actually see dimensionless mathematical points.
Similarly, a line is
one dimensional. If you draw a line, you are creating a two-dimensional figure,
because any line you draw will have to have at least some width, but the pure
mathematical line cannot be seen. It can only be understood.
We can see and
visualize two dimensional objects, yes. But we cannot visualize zero or one
dimensional objects without using two dimensional objects to represent them.
