Notes - in context / the soul in part

Duskish. You passed your Echo Doppler test and are thankful you are okay, heart and brain wise according to the evaluations. - Amorella

Carol had turkey burgers and veggies for supper, a different taste treat. After this morning at the clinic you had your hair and beard trim by Brandy at Great Clips during which you received a call from Gary for lunch at nearby Sammie's. - Amorella

1911 hours. Time with friend and former Mason colleague Gary Popplewell is always welcome. We always have a great and honest time together. He is one of my dearest and most trusting longtime friends.

Carol is catching up with a couple of her favorite TV shows and we have time to talk about how your soul lights up, so to speak; however, you are leery of this because you don't want this to focus on you but on being alive, conscious and curious about the humanity all people have. - Amorella

1920 hours. I would hope I share this blog with readers who have similar questions about life as I do, that for them personally this is a helpful catalyst for their own sense of self-discovery. -rho

Why do you arrogantly add your initials after certain statements like the one above. I keep you self-honest, boy, isn't that enough? - Amorella

1925 hours. Touché, Amorella. It is arrogant in context. I, however, appreciate your signature each time because I trust it is a validation that it is you writing thoughts and not some lesser part of myself.

2048 hours. I have spent much of the last hour reading articles in BBC News. Articles about real life that can be physically sensed and shared objectively. It is difficult to share narratives about the
soul. One's soul is rarely shareable with another. Point blank, I really don't know how we come up with such a phrase as "frankness lights up my soul" for instance.

2120 hours. I have looked up some quotations about the soul in goodreads dot com. Here are some examples that strike me.

“What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies.”

Aristotle

“Hollywood is a place where they'll pay you a thousand dollars for a kiss and fifty cents for your soul. I know, because I turned down the first offer often enough and held out for the fifty cents.”

Marilyn Monroe

“Beauty of whatever kind, in its supreme development, invariably excites the sensitive soul to tears.”

Edgar Allan Poe

“Re-examine all you have been told. Dismiss what insults your soul.”

Walt Whitman

“Whatever happens to your body, your soul will survive, untouched...”

J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

“Soulmate" is an overused term, but a true soul connection is very rare, and very real.”

Hilary Duff, Devoted

“How can you hear your soul if everyone is talking?”

Mary Doria Russell, Children of God

“Have you ever sensed that our soul is immortal and never dies?”

Plato, The Republic

“Your soul is oftentimes a battlefield, upon your reason and your judgment wage war against your passion and your appetite.”

Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet

“Every single human soul has more meaning and value than the whole of history.”

Nikolai A. Berdyaev

The above quotations are worth considering before one considers her or his own, don't you think, boy? - Amorella

2128 hours. I do, that is why I dropped them in these notes as examples from others as to what the soul is or represents at least in part. .
