South Rim

This is Amorella. One of the grand natural scenes in the world, and you have been there and done that. The trail to the point and on down the Phantom Ranch is wired into your memory even though you only walked it one way down and crawled and walked your way out at day and night later.

I think we already used this Amorella. I’m going to have to set up summaries of these daily postings as I can hardly remember what was written yesterday and before that it is all vague. Too much information, too many thoughts.

This reminds me of writing the books. I have no idea. I cannot even remember some of the main characters. In “Grandma’s Stories” the only ones that come to mind are David and Bathsheba, and I would only stake my life on David as one of the characters.

To me, one of the natural wonders of the world is the human mind. Our questions allow us to wonder. What could be better for such a species as us? Bacon said, “Knowledge Is Power,” and I agree wholeheartedly, but knowledge even with wisdom is missing wonder.

Are you saying that ‘wonder’ should precede knowledge and wisdom?

I think ‘wonder’ is one of basics of the ancient mysteries. Wonder precedes magic. I think somewhere it got switched around and now we think ‘magic’ creates the ‘wonder’. Wonder is the basic natural world of the mind that allows us to move forward as a species, at least that is what it seems in the books. Without the wonder, which created Amorella, the books would not have been written, at least not as they are written presently. That's how it is in my mind.

This may work as a concept within the writing of your books but not in the real world, orndorff. In the real world ‘knowledge is indeed power’ whether there is wisdom connected or not. Wonder is mostly preoccupied with how the knowledge, the fruit of the mythological tree, will be used. Wonder is focused on good and evil instead.

I have to agree somewhat.

It is none of my concern whether you agree with me or not. You have your Free Will and I have mine. - Amorella.
