Notes

         I have not taken the time to work on chapter three today, but I want to because I am curious as to where this is going. 

         I know this orndorff. You are very, very radical deep down.

         I am more practical than radical, Amorella. You can’t really change things on this planet with wars of one kind or another. Violence is not humanely practical as far as I am concerned and should only be used as a last resort for self preservation, yet that is the same argument many political realities also agree with. It has been tried for millenniums. Our culture is not really that old and our sense of things is generally oriented to personal ‘self-interest’. We are, like the Romans were, very arrogant as a culture, assuming everyone wants to be like us. Personally, I don’t even know if we want to be like ‘us’.

         A famous quote by Churchill says: “No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.”

         Besides, I don’t want this work to turn into some sort of political agenda because personally, I don’t have the heart for it.

         I want to continue on [with the novel]. I will go with whatever you wish presently. So far I have been able to live with putting my name on what you write and it is difficult (though not impossible) for me to write something and then refuse to put my name to it (or your name either as far as that goes).

         Fair enough. Take a break and when you return let’s go directly to chapter three so you can finish cleaning up what you already have written in the chapter. That ‘comfort level’ that works for the Dead works for us first, do you see that?

         I do. I wondered where that concept was really coming from. It is true within my own psychological self so as it is a mental device then it seems reasonable that it could work with the Dead. 

        Before supper and you have completed your editing of chapter three for now and are ready to continue on fresh with scene eight. Take a break. We will have time to work. – Amorella.
