Notes

I think I misspelled Colosseum and I don’t have the right words in place for making something ‘a thousand times smaller’. It is early and I probably need to go back to bed.
You are wondering about how the iPad concept is going to change modern culture, mostly in terms of its Kindle-like properties. Will it eventually do away with physical magazine and newspaper formats?
It is so exciting to live in such a time that may see the end of the book as a popular physical format. I don’t like that because I love holding and viewing books, but I love the cleverness and convenience of what the Kendle concept may do for future generations, particularly of students who will not have to lug around all of those tomes. Books may go the way of scrolls. Not a bad thing necessarily.
Saturday evening. You watched the national news. Carol is on the phone with one of her sisters. She drove to Graeter’s after the movie to say hello to Rich – it had been a long time. You and Rich enjoyed the film in three-D. Medusa was ‘most cool’ in your vernacular. The paper gave it a C you would give it a B- because it did what you thought it would, provide fun and entertainment. And, in the end Perseus got the Betweener and appeared to live happy ever after. After all, he was the son of Zeus.
I liked the Furies too. They reminded me of the flying monkeys in the golden brick road movie – The Wizard of Oz. I liked Perseus’ protector too, the Betweener in White. I liked her kindness and patience with the heroic demigod.
I know this scene two is supposed to have a dialogue between Zeus and the three Fates. The movie has disrupted my thought processes on the mythology. I liked the scenery in the film too, especially the River Styx and Hades. Pretty cool and classically traditional.
You read two good reviews of the new iPad and mentioned (in shaded humor) to Carol that you might buy her one for your birthday while she, Rich and you were sitting at Graeter’s.
I did. The iBook part of the iPad is supposed to be excellent. I was going to buy her the one from Barnes and Noble for her birthday in January but I would have had to wait for it. Then I thought about the Kendle and decided to wait. iUniverse (publisher of the first three books) said they wanted my second and third books e-publishable on the Kendle but not the first book which doesn’t make sense because they are a trilogy in their own right. Anyway, I declined and said I would wait to see how the iBook aspects worked on the iPad. Besides, the books are already e-books if a reader wants to order them. I only know of one, however, who has.
You are still wound up. Tomorrow we will finish up scene two and do scene three also. Post and relax. - Amorella.
