You have written a draft of the first of several encounters of the couple in one night between Sophia and Salamon but are concerned that it is not overly polite, particularly for the blog. One of your former students, a reader, has volunteered to read this section but you have not yet heard from her for reassurance.
It is terrible, Amorella. I thought this was going to be fun to write, and it is, though it is only a first draft. It is going to need several descriptive additions (dialogue and otherwise) and deletions until I get the setting and tone right enough to share. Plus, I hadn't given a thought to women readers. I hardly ever give a thought to any readers other than myself. I don't have much violence in the books. I don't want to exploit sexual positioning to add readership. All this kind of stuff is already done. Isn't it possible to attempt to write a good story without a lot of sex and violence?
I like the juxtapositioning of physical sex without having the solidified bodies loaded with surprising bundles of autonomic nerves that carry the, shall we say, sexual fever. – Amorella.
That’s what I am working on. Plus, I don’t like the ‘naming of positioning and parts’ like it is a sex manual. I have to start there, but it needs work. In some ways this reminds me of the ancient couple (I think in Central America in one of Grandma’s Stories who just went at it all the time). It is like they couldn’t get enough of one another. Or, they were afraid to unattach for one reason or another. How exhausting would that be? Terrible. And, of all things, later in life they end up dying in bed (I think).
