Notes & research on UK's 1980 UFO for book six

No breakfast until almost ten as you spent time in the bath with jets on as arthritis appeared more annoying than usual this morning. You changed was more annoying to appeared more annoying because it is more truthful or appears to be.
Thanks for the clarification, Amorella. Words can be as bothersome as the arthritis. I don’t know if the arthritis was more annoying or not, it appeared to be so, so I changed the word.
Late afternoon. Carol is feeling better after more than a week with the flu, the first official case of the season at the doctor’s office.  She suggested Long Horn and with Jennifer serving and her brother as chef you both had excellently prepared and delicious meals as always. Now, after picking out a get well card for Bob (after his successful surgeries) you are in the car waiting while Carol is still looking for birthday cards for others.
Earlier today you watched the UFO Hunters “The Rendlesham Forest Case” in six parts on YouTube. Some say it is UK’s 1980 Roswell incident.
I listened to the live audio of the event as it has just recently been released in the UK. The program was well presented compared to many UFO shows. As I used Roswell in a small part of the Merlyn plot series perhaps I can use Rendlesham as part of book six.
Find a description of the object seen and touched on the ground and place it here.
First, below (from Wikipedia) is a copy of the Lt. Col. Charles I. Halt, USAF memo of 13 January 1981.  [Double click to make more readable.]

         Find more details.
Also from Wikipedia I found this in the introduction:
The Rendlesham Forest Incident is the name given to a series of reported sightings of unexplained lights and the alleged landing of a craft or crafts of unknown origin in Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk, England in late December 1980, just outside of RAF Woodbridge, used at the time by the U.S. Air Force. Dozens of USAF personnel were eyewitnesses to various events over a two or three day period. Some Ufologists believe it is perhaps the most famous UFO event to have happened in Britain, ranking amongst the best-known UFO events worldwide. Along with the Berwyn Mountain UFO incident, it has been compared to the Roswell UFO incident in the United States, and is sometimes referred to as "Britain's Roswell".
A few specific details are what I am looking for, orndorff.
I have researched for about an hour and read over material but almost everything else stated by witnesses has critics showing the discrepancies. And, because of the discrepancies some say, ‘government cover-up’. I don’t see anything worth putting in here besides this original memo from Lt. Col. Halt.
         Check one more time, orndorff.
You’re kidding. (checking for another 30 minutes or so) I found this after some further digging.

"On June 25, 2009, retired Col. Halt went on the record in a press release to state:"
“I wish to make it perfectly clear that the UFOs that I saw were structured machines moving under intelligent control and operating beyond the realm of anything I have ever seen before or since. I believe the objects that I saw at close quarter were extraterrestrial in origin and that the security services of both the United States and England were and have been complicit in trying to subvert the significance of what occurred at Rendlesham by use of well-practiced methods of disinformation.”

This will do. There are statements from other people who were witnesses or somehow involved, some contradicted others which leads to confusion which may or may not be seen in retired Col. Halt’s statement above. For the record of using something concerning the incident it is best, for the fiction, that it be from one credible source, so now we have it. People can debate these things (as the old saying goes) until the cows come home. If this material becomes a part of book six then this material from now retired Col. Halt will be the only sources used. His work will not be directly used but the debate can be mentioned in passing by a couple of characters at a relevant point in the book, preferably with a tiny alien tie-in to Roswell. Post. – Amorella.
The irony in all this of course is that you play a suggested part of that tiny alien in book three through the work of young Diplomat Burroughs in book three who tries to logically prove through a variety of chapters, that the Soki and the tiny alien characters in the three books are one in the same. In the process, you, Amorella, play both parts, the Soki and the tiny alien Betweener who is of full consciousness but only of the size of less than that of a hydrogen atom.
I play all the parts, boy, if you remember, it is I who drafted the books together before they reach(ed) your fingertips. – Amorella.
In a sense I accept this, as it appears to be true, but legally though, I am you. -  rho
