Notes & a Thank You & Quarks & Gluon Soup

Mid-morning. First, late yesterday you dabbled a bit more on the working of the blog and found ‘Stats’ and ‘Audience’ neither of which you realized existed. For instance in the last week you have had 115 readers from the U.S.; 25 from Russia; 9 from South Korea; 6 from Denmark; 4 from China; 3 from Germany; 3 from France; 3 from the U.K.; 3 from Slovenia; and 2 from the Netherlands.

This was a revelation. I have fifteen loyal blog followers and am quite pleased to have so many. Half a dozen would suffice for me to keep this blog online, I am content knowing at least a few show some interest from time to time – a wayward glance at my progress or lack of it. This vehicle, this media, helps keep me honest, at least that is the intent in the nature of ‘unconscious’ writing as an experiment. Hanging myself to dry online allows me  a freedom of expression I would not otherwise have. What you see is what is in my head at the moment. Directly exported via the fingertips with no side issues as far as I know. My inner human spirit saying ‘hello’ mostly through Amorella. She is the doorway into my  ‘self’ within.

It seems to me that we are all set up pretty much the same way. People sometimes worry about unconscious desires and the like but while I am sure they exist there is, at least for me, a layer below this where all a person wants to do is to say ‘hello’ and ‘what am I doing here?’ and ‘this is an interesting world and universe to exist in.’

I like to explore the outer world as well as the inner, even if it is mostly imagination. I had to make it up for a reason and I assume it is to help make the ‘me’ inside content. For better or worse that’s how I see it.

Thank you for visiting. Please feel free to comment (now that I better know where to look). I will continue on my way in here – the goal is to complete books four, five and six. Retirement is good. Writing is a satisfying vocation. I have friends and family and I got paid for teaching something I would have gladly taught for free. You can’t get much better than that in my book, and as thus, I feel blessed. My best to you readers, thank you kindly. – orndorff

No prompting on my part and you didn’t ask for help. Post for now. Go back to reading the morning media. Later, dude. – Amorella.

You noticed the following on BBC and sent a note to Doug, who in turn sent you a note on parton particles. Here is the BBC introduction:

LHC researchers 'set to create a mini-Big Bang'
By Katia Moskvitch
Science reporter, BBC News

Researchers at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) are getting set to create the Big Bang on a miniature scale.

Since 2009, the world's highest-energy particle accelerator has been smashing together protons, in a bid to shed light on the fundamental nature of matter.

But now the huge machine will be colliding lead ions instead.
The experiments are planned for early November and will run for four weeks.
. . .
if you take materials into laboratories, you can pull the electrons off the atoms and you have another state of matter which is called plasma."

But at the very beginning of the Universe, there might have been yet another state of matter. Physicists have dubbed this "stuff" the quark-gluon plasma.

"And this is the state of matter you have if you're able to effectively melt the nuclear matter that makes up atoms today, releasing the things that are inside, which are quarks and gluons," Dr Gillies explained.

Parton particles have a unique characteristic in another look-up:

“If the partons and the quarks are the same particles viewed from different Lorentz frames, why is the number of partons infinite while the number of quarks is two or three.”

What you are interested in, in all this is how can this be useful to the fiction. You feel that it can be because this is physics on the edge of matter while the Dead in the story are just beyond this edge, so to speak.
Yes. I want the Dead in the story to be closer to the Living than they suspect they are. A stone’s throw away would be good, a parallel consciousness, if you will, like a parallel dimensional universe where the other ‘twin’ Earth is, where the few humans are living. I cannot think of another media beside that instilled by quantum mechanics to do justice to this primary concept.
Now that you know where you are at this given point, post and relax as this is also after an errand and yard work. – Amorella.
