Notes - b-day/gathering/automaticity/bio's

Mid-morning. Your grandson, Owen, is one year old today. However, you and Carol cannot celebrate with Kim and the Paik’s because Mary Lou has had a flu/virus and you two don’t want to give it to Owen. They are going to have a Korean ceremony in which, in part, he will be dressed up in the same outfit Paul was dressed in when he was one. You will see the pictures though and later in the month you will go for a visit.
Last night you had your class gathering and everyone enjoyed the company. You sat near the end of the table where you are most comfortable (no one on your immediate right). Carol Milligan sat on your left and Fritz sat next to her. Charlie F. sat across from you as did Bill W. and Bill M. sat at the head of the table because it is easier as he uses an electric wheel chair. Others filled the table to the west – you estimate that twenty or so came. Lots of conversations. As Bill M. is a semi-retired engineering physics professor at OSU you wanted to talk about the black hole and the new photo of the universe but you could not think of how to bring it up without appearing awkward in the moment.
I didn’t think anyone would be interested. Doug and I have an interest in astronomy but it is not for everyone. Bill W. brought up my books as did Bill M. but when I tell them generally what it is about “spookiness” comes up and the conversation thankfully moves on to more enjoyable dinner subject matter. I have to agree, I’m sure it does cause a spookiness as it is about the Dead. Bill M. wonders how I can write on a rebellion about the time of Homer’s writing of the Iliad and Odyssey. I laugh and say its from my head and the word ‘spookiness’ comes up again. It is a kind of running joke when we are all sitting together, that and how it is not on the best seller’s list. Inside jokes with old friends. Part of the fun.
I have been thinking about your adventure in the digit and it does conform, right on, to what information is in the books. Extends it a bit, but the consistency is there. That in itself is amazing to me. In fact, the style reminds me of the style used by the character, Diplomat, the young hybrid.
Perhaps you thought the style while in translation. – Amorella.
I hadn’t thought that. The stories are a kind of simultaneous translation from concept to fingertip without consciousness being involved (at least outwardly). Writing automaticity. I hadn’t thought where I come into the picture in the process. I need a break.
         Post. – Amorella.

Later. I can’t help but wonder if you can get into any character within the stories. That would be most cool. I could do a ‘bio’ on each one from the inside out.

It can be done but only under the condition that you come up with ten questions to be asked any of the characters, a one time interview with each if you like, but no more.
That could be a neat little booklet all on its own.
No. Nothing bound. And it must be shared (as you go) with your blog audience under a 2011 copyright. You were, as you know, already thinking “another book” but that is not the purpose. In your mind it is a curiosity.
         That’s fine.
It helps that you want nothing. – Amorella.
I don’t care that much I guess, at least about a book. I am curious though, and it will be a challenge to think up ten universal questions.
Once I okay them you are good to go. You will have to make a list of all the characters.
What. You didn’t say that. All of them. I have no idea how many that is.
No one is left out (or behind) in these books. It will give you something to do in your spare time. Start with the beginning of book one, all the characters as they are introduced in “The Brothers”; then “Grandma’s Stories” and then “Pouch Text”. The same for new characters in books two and three and four and so forth.
         All six books?
When you finish each you can continue the character’s ‘bio’s’ as you like to call them.
         Holy crap.
         This was your idea, orndorff.
Maybe I’ll reconsider. This sounds like a lot of work.
That’s the orndorff I know best. Post. – Amorella.

Home at dusk. Papa John’s for supper. When you turned on the television to watch the news you found no sound from the downstairs TV. Thus, tomorrow you hopefully will find someone to fix it. You spent part of the earlier afternoon coming up with nine of ten questions for submission for the bio’s. All for tonight, orndorff. – Amorella.
