Mid-morning. You woke to an ice covered morning with the temperature at three degrees below freezing. You read Saturday’s unread paper at breakfast as it is dangerous to walk to pick up the paper.
Amazing how it is for older people. Fear of falling and breaking an appendage. My right knee only went out once a couple of years ago. I was standing on a chair at the time and managed to slide down to the seat on my left knee rather than topple over onto the basement floor at Mary Lou’s. The experience must have set a ‘be careful, fool’ button in my brain because it is constantly running somewhere in the back of my head.
This next scene four focuses on Kassandra, Sophia and Mother in late morning. Then scene five has Thales questioning Mario about what Takis told him about their scheme to confront Zeus and company on the bridge. Takis doesn’t appreciate Mario’s meddling into his own plans and is not about to do what his granddaughter might want him to do. The only thing that is agreeable to Takis is that a representation of all the final Dead is good. The Dead as shades is ridiculous, thinking it would be better to have the Dead line the Styx hand-in-hand from one end to the other.
Okay, I guess. I haven’t thought about it. I like the idea of the Dead lining one side of the Styx. Brings in the flavor of the old myth and a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy. Scene five sounds more interesting.

I cannot think of a response.
It’s no wonder. – Amorella.
Early afternoon. You have spent the last hour debating on whether to get a new Apple computer and cannot decide, with your limited budget, whether to buy an eleven or thirteen inch MacBook Air, a MacBook, or a thirteen inch MacBook Pro. Based on your use and excitement levels I have a suggestion. Do you want to hear it?
No. It is a complicated decision. Maybe I should not buy one at all. I don’t like my mind running in this ‘buy now’ direction. No doubt ‘all-American programming’. Buy this, buy that BS. My old MacBook still works even though it is well-worn with use (a late 2006 model). I know what my problem is. I barely have enough money. I really like ‘cutting edge’ (MBA). One reviewer called it an iPad with a keyboard. I have got by just fine with a MacBook, never had a MacBook Pro – though a friend and daughter swear by it. . . . After a nap and some thought, the practical decision would be another MacBook, but I like the ‘coolness’ (to me) of an aluminum clad machine, so if I buy something new it appears the Air or the Pro is the way to go. Only a hundred dollars difference between the 11 inch Air and the 13 inch Pro. It would be better to save my allowance for another six months and pick it up when OSX Lion comes out. I can make my own decisions, Amorella.
Good for you, old man. Now put the matter to rest. Post – Amorella.
Second thoughts?
Checked BBC to note present conditions in Cairo and to read that some don’t like Jordan’s new pick for PM. I didn’t even realize Jordanians were protesting until Carol brought it up a few minutes ago. And, my miniscule concerns are over whether to buy a new laptop or not.
The events are not connected, orndorff. A writer looking for a new computer is as a painter checking out new brushes. People have their individual needs and desires no matter what is going on in the world. It is a cold, icy day. Relax. – Amorella.
