Notes - hankering to write / another connection / set up for sc.2

Late morning. More chores to do today plus the Handyman Connection shows up for three more chores you are not capable of doing these days. Two involve a ladder on outside maintenance, the third, wall repair.

I think I am capable, just not willing, Amorella, except for cleaning the gutter screens. The back is three stories high. Not my cup of tea at any age. Two and a half stories is as high as I ever climbed a ladder to do outside painting, and that was in my teens when I was actually agile. Inside I have an upstairs toilet to repair and a light bulb to replace (again a ladder is involved but I think I can handle this one myself). Ten years ago none of this would have been difficult but since my right knee went out two years ago, completely out of the blue (I was standing on a chair fixing a computer router in my sister-in-law’s basement); fortunately, I collapsed onto the chair where I caught myself. I have been more cautious ever since. Handyman service has been a big help over the years.

To think on it, which is what you just did, you remembered the marsupial-humanoids take care of this ‘free of charge’ – well, the cost is the culture’s pride and arrogance, but otherwise it is ‘free’ to the customer and everyone has work, full employment three worlds-wide. Everyone (old enough, with their college education, and able) makes 100,000 dollars a year (including mothers raising children) for life (approximately 500 earth years). Ten percent is taxable.

I am embarrassed I thought this, Amorella. Fiction. I know better, but the thought pops out anyway.

And, I’m here to make sure you see it, young man. And, you have such a hankering to write that you are willing to share it. Post, dudeman. – Amorella.

Carol created scrumptious tacos for supper, a great surprise, and after watching a copy of one of last night’s TNT shows after the national news you saw a part of Sports Medicine (a local TV show) on local channel 5, NBC. One of your former students was talking, Dr. Tim K. and another former student spoke right after him, Dr. Ian R. who took your daughter to her first high school prom. You had Tim at Indian Hill and Ian at Mason.

Ian is a ‘friend’ on Facebook and two of Tim’s brothers are also but I don’t think Tim has a FB page. It’s just funny. I wonder if they both know (or care) I had the other in class. The best incident I ever had of this was when a student from Indian Hill went to Miami of Florida and found out that I had his roommate at Miami in Sao Paulo, Brazil from a year earlier. There are other examples – they are just fun connections to have witness (one way or another) from time to time. Helps make my day as a former teacher.

Connections are what your books and blog are about, boy. Go ahead and post. – Amorella.

I don’t remember, Amorella, and I can’t find it in my notes, what are Kassandra and Sophia talking about over breakfast in scene two, chapter eight?

Do what you would do otherwise, first go back and read what was going on with them in chapter seven. – Amorella.

I found scenes two and four relevant and perhaps seven also. I’ll read them over.

Fine. Tomorrow we’ll move through scene two and perhaps scene three also. Something for you to think on. Kassandra thinks the Supervisor is a female and Sophia thinks the Supervisor may even be more important than Zeus, as she doesn’t think Zeus is playing the part in this he should be playing as he should be representing the law and justice even if he doesn’t care too much about humans unless Zeus assumes his older brother, Hades, is in actual control as the Supervisor and thus Zeus is not sure he should interfere. He is concerned about Hades’ greed however. And he is not sure about their wives, Persephone and Hera, if they are in cahoots with the humans in some way. - Amorella.

I hadn’t thought about Persephone and Hera in this at all.

They don’t have to be except in Zeus’ mind. Remember Hera is Zeus’ sister as well as his wife. Plus, he overthrew his parents so in the back of his mind that others might be attempting to overthrow him and using the humans in some way to manipulate this. – Amorella.

I like this. Zeus raped his sister if I remember right, and she married him anyway. He got rid of this parents, so he is not so much a family god – Hera is. So she might have reason to support the human family in this possible rebellion. Persephone is not too happy with Hades either, she is also concerned for the human family. This seems reasonable for Zeus to think on these possibilities as he sees this rebellion as all about himself. Sounds good to me.

Post, and go play with the cat before bed. – Amorella.

I try to have fun with her every night.

Jadah is a good companion for you and Carol. Good night, boy.
