Notes - a day in Columbus

Late morning and you are at the Tylersville Kroger’s after a trip to Democratic Headquarters to sign a petition against redistricting Ohio. Linda and Jean are stuck in Atlanta (fog) and will not arrive until mid-afternoon and in Columbus not Dayton. So, Carol is running errands and picking up groceries – change of plans, Jean called and said they were leaving now and would be in Columbus in an hour and a half. You ‘rushed’ in to get Carol who is coming as quickly as she can while picking up a couple more items on the way out.
This is the way it is, days like this are just like sailing when you don’t know what the weather is going to do but you are out there anyway. So, the sail is set and can be taken down quickly if needed.
You are at Easton, not far from Columbus International. The five of you had a very good lunch at the Logan’s where you and Bob had your last very fine lunch together. – Amorella
Indeed we had a last good meal together, one of the few times we didn’t eat at the Westerville Taco Bell. Taco Bell is a sacred place in my memory; full of important and casual banter on how life is with a fellow old friend, who better understood poetry and the writer’s task than I do.
Robert Graystone still exists, boy, as does Richard, another joy of fiction. – You are home and had a cup of Alta’s turkey chili for supper. No doubt you hit your fifteen hundred calories today. Almost twenty-one hundred hours, Linda and Jean went up to bed and you are thinking about it, but you are enjoying classical and Dixieland jazz on jazzforyou.com on the iPad and still relaxing. Reminds you of the Saturday nights as busboy at the Grandview Inn in Columbus. - Post on the good memories. - Amorella
